Every game we played, we got the new high score on our first tries. We needed to break a $20 bill into small bills, used the small , black “change here” machine in the back (different from the big white machine in the front) ended up with 80 tokens for our misunderstanding. We simply wanted a $5 for the Photo Booth that only took cash. They couldn’t even change $5 worth of token back to cash for us. We only had 15 minutes before we needed to head for the airport and still, we ended up with 20 tokens. After drinks, we spent $90 there on accident. The Photo Booth is all angled down at the seat 😭
We went to 1UP Arcade Bar & Eats as a company Christmas outing and had an awesome time. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed, the games were great, and the staff were really nice and welcoming. It was a drama-free night with good vibes all around, which made it perfect for a work event. Everyone had a great time, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for group outings or just a fun night out in Denver!
Absolutely amazing place to relax, have some drinks, and play some games. Great simple selection of beers, goofy/fun mixed drinks (not my thing though), and plenty liquor to enjoy. Games are a good spread from old to new. Taken care of as well as a downtown bar with tons of people abusing the machines non-stop can handle. Staff is super friendly and attentive, especially when it's slow and they can chat. Yeah, they will actually have a conversation with you! So many don't these days. Hayley and Hanna are easily best bartenders in Denver! These ladies pick up on jokes and join in the silliness of complete random strangers on the daily. Just walk in and be like "So glad at least one of the best bartenders are here" and you're promised a good time! The. Best. Period. Greg is cool too.
What a great place. Years ago, I brought a rock band here when bar hopping after their concert (Alien Ant Farm!). We had a great time then, and the place is still great. Returned for the first time in years to play some pinball, and it was great. They always get the newest machines, I was there for the release of King Kong pinball. Very cool, I will be back!
The drinks were way over priced and incredibly sugary. When you change your money, they give you tokens not quarters. So I have a purse full of tokens because I put a 20 in. The staff was not very friendly. It definitely needs a good cleaning. But the selection of games was fantastic. Most of them appear to be working. The bathrooms were not kept very well, however.
