I recently signed up for this gym, and overall it’s an amazing place—easily a 10/10. I had visited using day passes before joining and really liked that it never felt overcrowded. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is due to a recent interaction with someone who introduced herself as a manager. While I was using the sauna, she informed me that I couldn’t wear gym clothing and needed to be in appropriate attire with a towel. I wasn’t aware of this policy, so I apologized and explained that I hadn’t seen any information about it on the website. She responded by saying, “Well, there are signs everywhere,” and laughed, which I found unprofessional. This has been my only negative experience, but it did discourage me from returning. I just wish the situation had been handled in a more respectful and courteous manner.
Belmont Athletic Club is a hidden jewel. This is a local gym with a very large and clean space. The atmosphere has a small town feel with all the conveniences of gym equipment, exercise classes and amenities. The variety keeps you engaged and motivated. What takes the place over the top is the friendly staff and energetic instructors.
The Belmont Athletic Club is a spacious and well-equipped gym with lots of room and equipment to satisfy all our training needs. The cardio room has tons of treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes, there are lots of workout classes (from barre to cycling to yoga to pilates) and just generally lots of different spaces to work out in. Best of all, the staff is incredibly friendly, greeting us by name with a smile every time we enter the door. It really feels like a community here. My parents are both full-time members and through their membership the Belmont Athletic Club offers short-term membership plans to their kids (me!) when I am visiting. This is the most convenient way to stay in shape when I'm home for the holidays! Highly recommend!
We spend long holidays in Long Beach and always become members at The Belmont Athletic Club. I really appreciate that they offer a short-term membership option – being able to join for just three months is perfect for us. Everyone who works here is so nice and welcoming – the sweetest people. I’ve been a member at many gyms over the years, but I’ve never experienced this level of hospitality anywhere else. Despite being members only three months of the year, almost every employee remembers my name! The gym itself is great and well-equipped, and they have some of my favorite machines, including a few I can’t find anywhere else. I also love the jacuzzi in the locker room. Such a nice feature to relax after a workout.
This is an amazing gym. The staff are friendly, helpful & most of all welcoming. The classes are great , trainers are fantastic & so encouraging. Absolutely love the Belmont Athletic Club. Clean, welcoming & great equipment. It has everything.
