Troy at the bump shop was amazing. I managed to tap a pole trying to avoid a crash and I had paint that I needed to get off and it took him less than two minutes and the whole team was so lovely. They got me in and out in about five minutes, if I ever need you again I am totally coming back!! Cannot recommend you high enough!! Thanks, Troy!!
Huge thanks to Joe and the team at the Bump Shop. The repair work was excellent and the car looks amazing. The whole process was smooth, professional and handled with real care and attention to detail. It’s clear they take pride in their workmanship. Highly recommend.
Huge huge huge shoutout to Joe Cubito at the Bump Shop, though everyone I encountered were absolutely fantastic. I brought my car in for a not-at-fault repair, and not only did they deliver with a fantastic fix and paint-match job, but they were extremely cooperative and supportive with me throughout the whole process. Joe was always happy to offer advice in a clear and friendly manner, and always made sure I understood everything and truly went above and beyond for me. All responses were extremely swift, and I couldn't be happier with the results - I have already recommended this place to friends and family!
I collected a bollard on the left side sliding door of my Hyundai ILoad. Once my insurance cleared to use The Bump Shop in violet st Eagle Farm. The process was very easy from assessment to repair and collection. Treated with good old fashion customer service. Thank you to staff on front desk, Paul the assessor and Mark receiving the van for repair. We felt it was very professional, very timely 5 days repair. The panel work exceptional. My first reaction was, like a bought one’. So so happy!
I’ve had my car in multiple times with the Bump Shop and with each repair I had to get defects fixed and items that were quoted but not attended to rectified. The car was delivered with heavy paint runs, primer overspray on panels which was then cleared over, panels that were quoted and supposed to be replaced but instead bogged up and delivered with sanding marks visible through the paint. I had non genuine parts fitted when I specifically requested for only genuine parts to be fitted. Genuine parts were quoted but then without consulting myself, The Bump Shop took direction from the insurance company of the other party at fault, fitted non genuine parts which then failed. When they failed is how I came to find out they had fitted non genuine parts without my consent or knowledge. To this day there are still many fisheyes in the clear coat which I wouldn’t expect from any quality repair shop to be accepted. These are only a few of the issues I encountered. Most items were attended to straight after the repairs, but some were not and are still evident on the car today. The ‘lifetime warranty’ the Bump Shop advertise, and offer is a bluff! I recently followed up regarding the last repair done in 2020 where the PPG paint they use is flaking off the car within 5 years. Also, the repair prior to that, the clear has gone matt and lost its gloss as well as flaking off. The bonnet and roof were resprayed with the last repair in 2020 under wty, separate from the accident repair because these panels already showed signs of fading back then. The Bump Shop have now turned their heads to the other panels with the same issues which they previously acknowledged was a problem with the paint. The car gets used to drive to work so it is parked in a carpark during the day. I have now told by The Bump Shop and PPG they won’t do anything because the car has been in the weather… The original factory paint on the car is fine, the clear coat is still glossy and not flaking. The only issues I have are the panels previously painted by the Bump Shop. I get no explanation as to why the factory paint is fine from a 2011 model vehicle but the PPG paints has failed within 5 years. The Bump Shop acknowledged they have had issues with the PPG paint they use with the clear flaking off. They also acknowledged that they have had lots of cars returned to them to be resprayed with this same issue including one of their friends F Trucks. PPG claim stone chips allow moisture to get under the paint and cause this issue. This is an issue with their paint. The factory paint doesn’t have this issue. The flaking is occurring not just on the bumper and bonnet but on areas like the guards, A pillar and rear door where there are no stone chips. They still wipe their hands of taking responsibility for this with their warranties. The Bump Shop were told by PPG to tell customers we should use nail polish to seal the stone chips to prevent flaking from occurring to which the Bump Shop also acknowledged that wasn’t right and it was a PPG issue. This info also does not help after 5 years has past and when the paint is already flaking. Its also not relevant to all areas as some panels are flaking and didn’t have stone chips to start with. Really un happy with The Bump Shop and the quality of the PPG paint they use – 1 Star
