We cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere other than The Crest. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was something special - and our wedding day confirmed it a thousand times over. Austin, the owner, was incredible to work with from start to finish. He was warm, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect, consistently going above and beyond to accommodate anything we needed. It’s so clear how much pride he takes in this space, and it shows in every detail. The venue itself is stunning. What Austin has created by renovating this historic Victorian home is nothing short of amazing - a beautifully updated, light-filled, modern-meets-timeless blank canvas right in the middle of the city. The layout is a dream for weddings: the house, courtyard, and carriage house all flow seamlessly together and created the perfect setting for every part of our wedding day. The getting-ready suites were a game changer - spacious, full of natural light, and equipped with everything the bridal party and groomsmen could possibly need (mirrors, outlets everywhere, salon-style setup, plenty of room). Cocktail hour in the renovated Victorian house was bright, airy, and absolutely beautiful. Dinner and dancing in the courtyard and carriage house flowed effortlessly, and our guests raved about how unique and enjoyable the venue experience was. Everything about The Crest exceeded our expectations. We’re still in awe of how perfectly it all came together. If you’re getting married in Winston-Salem, definitely explore The Crest - it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
I booked The Crest before they had opened in 2024 and we just had our September 2025 wedding there. We had to put a lot of trust in them because we didn’t have much to base our expectations off except our meeting with Austin. Let me just say our trust was placed in the right people. I was absolutely blown away at our experience. Austin handled everything and more. We truly felt like we were working with friends more than just a business. They did my bridal shower and handled the catering for the reception as well and every single detail was perfect. I can’t say enough great things and if I could do it all over again, picking this venue would be at the top of the list for me. If you’re looking for a sign, this is it so BOOK IT
My husband and I were of the first couples to book our wedding at The Crest nearly two years ago, and our vision came to life even better than we could have imagined when our wedding day took place about a month ago. Our wedding day was a dream and it is in no small way due to the care and attention we received from Austin throughout the planning process. The restoration of the house is truly exquisite and the carriage house perfectly complements the space. Austin was such a delight to work with, allowing us to visit the space multiple times and clearly understanding our vision and hopes for our day. We booked The Crest when it was still under construction and the carriage house hadn't even been built yet because it was clear to us that the space was being designed and operated with the highest standards of hospitality in mind. When our wedding weekend came, we saw this in action. The bridal suite upstairs was beautifully appointed and designed in a way that made it comfortable for my 8 bridesmaids and I plus a four person hair and makeup team to spend the day getting ready, snacking, and taking photos. The downstairs of the main house was the perfect setting for cocktail hour and our guests kept remarking on the thoughtful touches of the historic home. The twinkly lights on the patio created the most lovely romantic touch to the outside space during our reception that our guests enjoyed. The location of The Crest is superb -- which was such a huge selling point and made it so easy for our guests to get to, either from our hotel downtown or from neighboring cities. Being able to easily and safely walk to bars on Fourth Street right after the wedding was so fun and a huge perk for us. I cannot recommend The Crest highly enough! It really fills a gap in wedding venue spaces in our city and is perfect for any couple looking for a wonderful planning experience with a great team, a venue that's close to everything downtown Winston-Salem has to offer, and an old-world charm and elegance in every detail.
The Crest is the newest and most stunning venue to host an event in Winston Salem! I had my 21st birthday here and it far exceeded my expectations. It was the dreamiest event and all my guests kept going on about how perfect the venue was! Austin was incredible throughout the entire planning process. The whole team was so helpful with setup/takedown and helping provide everything we needed to make the day perfect!
The Crest is such a gem and truly helped make our wedding day beautiful. Located conveniently in downtown Winston Salem, it’s a blank canvas with historic and elegant details that elevate every photo. 90% of our guests were out of town and this location made their stays at nearby hotels so easy. Hotels are mostly in a 8-10 minute walk. We were married in the carriage house, hosted cocktail hour in the main house and then had reception in the carriage house. Our wedding was the first “flip” from ceremony to reception and this staff was PRO from start to finish. They did it in 40 minutes. The patio is stunning and would be an incredible backdrop too for warmer months. Austin is so knowledgeable, thoughtful and has so many different contacts in the industry. I can’t count the number of times he said “we’ll make it happen!” Or “we got this.” I am so impressed and our guests couldn’t stop gushing about how beautiful it was. Do not hesitate to book with The Crest! There isn’t another venue like it
