Hubby and I attended the dinner and show. We found it to be very entertaining and we liked the audience participation. It was also very convenient since we were staying at the Emily Morgan hotel. We both enjoyed the quality of the food and the staff at the hotel and show were very fun. We both agreed we will be back again.
Loved the show! Highly recommend. Food was tasty and my wife loved the dessert. Will be back in San Antonio and will definitely come again.
The show was fine, but the food was absolutely terrible. I don't know how you mess up salad, but they managed to do it. My wife got food poisoning and was up all night throwing up. Sadly, we came from out of town and attended this for our anniversary. So, we didn't get to enjoy any part of San Antonio after the show, because she was too weak to walk after throwing up everything she had eaten. When I looked around at other people's plates, they stopped eating after a few bites. The food looked like had been left unrefrigerated for days and it tasted like it as well. The only reason I don't think I was throwing up all night as well was because I got the vegetable plate. But my plate also looked like something they dug out of the dumpster behind the grocery store.
Appalling acting and ridiculous comments and hard to follow story. Confused to know what was going on. Fellow guests were nice thankfully. Lost interest and left after second course. Would not recommend to anyone. Trip Advisor said it was bad but didn't think it would be that bad! Hubby had to drinking to get through it. Cannot believe it's still going. Emily Morgan should be ashamed to have their name associated with this.
What a chaotic night! The story line was not coherent, the "clues" were a distraction, and don't bother showing up on time because they do NOT start at 6:00pm. The enclosed photo captures the chaos. The reception was haphazardly ran, it was a free for all. It looked like several people didn't show up for work, they were asking attendees to help with set up -- why do you charge $70/person if we need to work too? By the way, apparently the actors are not paid and they work for tips -- that doesn't makes sense. The hotel wait staff serving the food were not synchronized with the different scenes. For example, while you're trying to watch the actors, the hotel staff would serve the food or they would be collecting dishes. You can forget about etiquette. The wait staff clearly have not been trained to serve from the rear of the room to the front and serve a full table before moving to the next table. The wait staff started serving at the entrance of the room which caused a bottle neck and additional commotion. They didn't have a dish collection stand, so that caused additional distraction. Keep your expectations low and you will have a good time. It is a good time to get to know the other attendees, because you will be working as much as the actors. Don't bother paying for the additional fee to be included in the plot, the administrator of the show is way to disorganized to orchestrate that. Being included in the plot is completely random.
