This is literally the best Physical Therapist company that I’ve found! They not only have helped me a lot with pain and figuring out the root cause but they are the most genuine people ever. You get the feeling that they actually care about you and want you to get better and never come back. I’ve been so blessed to have found them I thank my lucky stars every day for them! 10 out of 10 I recommend ❤️
Dr. Kevin literally changed my life. I came in with debilitating back pain that was so bad. I was was going to Spooner physical therapy and my back pain kept getting worse going there that I ended up in the hospital and was on so many painkillers just to be able to get out of bed and make it through the day. It it was so painful to even sit down at the breakfast table for more than two minutes and I couldn’t pick up or get on the ground and play with my kids. Coming to the doctors of physical therapy transformed my entire body. I was quickly able to get off painkillers and was given the tools to slowly but surely strengthen my core and alleviate my back pain. I didn’t even realize that what I was doing in my previous physical therapy sessions weren’t addressing the core issue of what was going on, but only treating my symptoms and seeing Dr. Kevin, we were actually able to address the root cause and focus on getting me back to normal. They have a great app and online platform that walks you through exercises with Britain descriptions and really helpful videos to watch so doing my exercises every day it was great. I got Reminders and it was so easy to follow along with all the great technology they have. I just graduated from my PT program and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been before I’m able to engage my core and learned how to do normal every day tasks while engaging my core and not putting stress on my back. I can’t recommend the doctors of physical therapy and Dr. Kevin enough. They have literally changed my life for the better.
For the past nine years, I have been living with Rheumatoid arthritis. I’ve always done my best to stay active—walking 3–5 miles regularly and teaching yoga classes—but about six months ago, everything changed. The pain in my right hip became overwhelming. I could no longer perform exercises from the waist down, walking became difficult, and teaching yoga—something I love—started to feel impossible. I knew I had to do something. Through research, I discovered the Doctors of Physical Therapy, and I was immediately intrigued by their comprehensive approach using EMTT, Shockwave therapy, and targeted physical therapy exercises to reduce pain and treat arthritis at the root. From my very first phone call, I knew I had found the right place. Amber was the first person I spoke with, and she was incredible. She explained everything about their office in detail, shared real-life success stories, and reassured me that all of their therapists are doctors. She listened with compassion, and I felt that she genuinely cared about helping me get out of pain. Her kindness, patience, and level of concern made me feel hopeful again. My physical therapist, Kevin, has gone above and beyond from day one. He uses computer visuals to show me exactly which muscles are affected and why certain exercises are essential. He doesn’t just treat the pain—he teaches me the "why" behind every movement. I’ve learned that multiple muscles need to be strengthened and activated so that everything works together to heal the root cause rather than just masking symptoms. What I appreciate most is his attentiveness and support. Kevin encourages me to text him any time I have questions or if I experience a sharp pain—he wants to be sure I’m doing every movement correctly and progressing safely. That level of follow-through and genuine care is rare. The entire team at the Doctors of Physical Therapy has exceeded every expectation. Their customer service is exceptional—friendly, professional, and always focused on how I’m doing both physically and emotionally. I feel seen, heard, and supported at every visit. Thanks to their approach, I am finally experiencing relief and rebuilding strength in my hip, thighs, glutes and back. I feel hopeful again about returning to walking, exercising, and teaching without pain. If someone is struggling like I was, I would absolutely recommend the Doctors of Physical Therapy. Amber and Kevin have truly changed the course of my healing, and I am deeply grateful for their dedication, knowledge, and care. Cheri
I started experiencing shoulder pain and chronic headaches 11 years ago, which kept me from running, hiking, or working out without pain. (How frustrating that my shoulder was stopping me from running 🙄!) I bounced from doctor to doctor and PT to PT, but no one could provide a clear diagnosis, let alone eliminate the pain. Over the years, I found temporary relief with dry needling, PT, cupping, chiropractic care, and medication. But the pain always returned, and eventually, I stopped responding to the treatments that had worked in the past. As a physical therapist myself, I was incredibly frustrated that I couldn’t figure this out on my own. I started to believe, “Maybe it’s just me, I’m the outlier who will never get better.” I often felt dismissed by the medical system because I was young, strong, and healthy. I was repeatedly told to “just keep strengthening,” but no one followed up when that didn’t help. My pain stayed the same. In addition to my shoulder pain, I’ve had chronic low back pain since I was 14. As a dancer, I was told it was “normal,” so I ignored it and assumed everyone had back pain. It wasn’t until my early 20s that I realized that shouldn’t be considered normal and I needed to stop accepting it as such. My shoulder always took priority, so I just learned to live with the back pain, not wanting to feel like a burden to my providers with multiple issues. Eventually, I gave up hope that my shoulder and back would ever feel better. Living with constant pain seemed easier than enduring yet another failed treatment. (Anyone reading this who’s been there knows how mentally draining it can be.) But after seeing the results DPT had with other patients, I decided to give myself one last chance. I’m so glad I did. I started working with Dr. Tom, and he connected the dots between the dysfunction in my shoulder and back and treated both together. I was hesitant to hope again. It was hard to imagine holding my nephew for more than 20 minutes without pain, or working out, lifting, or running without paying for it the next day. But after just a few treatments with Dr. Tom, I finally began to feel like it was possible to imagine a pain-free day and I started to hope again and imagine the possibility of standing, lifting, hiking, and running pain free. 2 months ago I ran my first mile in 10 years with no pain and then in June, I hiked Rim to Rim at the Grand Canyon (an accomplishment I never would have dreamed of without pain)! A year ago, I couldn’t have imagined completing that hike without shoulder pain from the backpack or back pain from standing for hours. For the first time in 10 years, I feel confident that I can live the next 10 years free from chronic pain and keep pushing myself physically to experience the adventures I love.
I came to Dr Tom and his team in February 2025 because of a tremendous amount of hip and ankle stiffness that was causing a lot of discomfort at the hip feeling like it was coming out of place or something when I’d stand up after sitting for extended periods of time. After a lot of intense deep hip work and calf mobility and front shin/ankle strengthening my ankle went from 10 degrees range of motion to 18-20 degrees which is great according to the team! Squats and forward bending is going a lot smoother too. Additionally a bonus I didn’t think about when I started that I saw happening is I now feel confident in a weight room where I’m not guessing at what I should be doing on any day. I keep up the hip and ankle work because there’s a lot of work to be done there. My time with Dr Tom and Dr Lance helped kickstart the journey more than I could’ve done on my own. Don’t live with stiffness people. Why do you want to wait for major pain? Go have Dr Tom’s team here in Scottsdale take a look and get yourself headed back to a youthful track! ⛲️🌷 The pink shirt in the pics shows my last session. The legs are opening up finally and forward bending isn’t as much of an effort! Highly recommend!!
