Finding the venue for our day proved to be the single most stressful component of wedding planning, until Kelly walked in. Kelly and her team at the Dogwood and Social Affair Catering were not simply vendors, they were family. The word “no” was never considered in their vocabulary, rather each idea and dream was met with “how can we make this happen?” People often don’t recall what they ate at weddings or what appetizers made their way around, but not our guests. We are still hearing stories of cleaned plates, shared meals, and wondering when we’ll do this all again. Liz, the fabulous mastermind behind the scenes, and her incredible team ensured not a soul went hungry. This team has this magical way of making you feel as though you are the only couple in the world being married on this day and at this moment. Drew and I only wish we could live the day over and over again - and that’s thanks to this incredible family.
We held our wedding reception at the Dogwood and it is an incredibly beautiful venue. We felt all their furniture, flatware, linens, etc. were very high quality and allowed for us to not have to do rentals. The space being a two-floor venue provided a very unique experience as well, allowing events to be held upstairs or downstairs. What we loved most about The Dogwood is the food. This is not your typical wedding food. We had a lot of flexibility on what we got to serve, and it was incredible. All our guests raved about the food. We felt it was comparable to eating at a high end restaurant in the city.
A very cool wedding and event space. Secluded green space for ceremony, outstanding 2nd story balcony, delicious food, outstanding staff. Parking is tight, though there's access to a lot down the street. Valet might be the way to go for your event.

The Dogwood was absolutely perfect for our wedding and I can’t say enough good things about the venue and the wonderful people we worked with. We worked with Jules from the beginning and she was incredibly helpful and organized. She answered my questions and emails and was very timely in her responses as we got closer to the wedding. I know she also played a major role in getting everything set up and organizing vendors on the day of. Kelly was the main coordinator during the event and she was incredible. She was everywhere all at once- ensuring everything was getting set up, that things were moving along smoothly, and ensuring that we always had enough food and never an empty glass. She even stayed super calm and eased my worries during the tornado warning lol. I received so many comments from guests on how amazing the staff and bartenders were as well as how AMAZING the food was! The Social Affair is the exclusive caterer for the Dogwood and literally everything was 10/10 delicious. I received so many comments on how fantastic the food was and the variety of options they had was excellent. I could literally go on and on about how amazing The Dogwood was. If you’re considering having your event or wedding there, DO IT. The Dogwood truly was extraordinary, just as they promise!
