Mr. James and his assistant came out yesterday to replace a water heater. They were very professional and were able to do the job in a few hours. I would definitely recommend them if someone needs similar work done.
So called ‘Plumber’ spent three hours (!) and still failed to just modify an existing kitchen gas valve to bring it up to Montgomery County Code as later disapproved twice - (1) by Home Depot’s plumber - who refused to install/connect a new gas range and (2) a Master Plumber who was shown photos by the Home Depot plumber. James then asked to charge $100 more than agreed. Currently James refuses to refund the card payment. Bank advised filing against him, given the clear cut case for fraud and theft.
This was my first experience with Drain Fighter. James responded to my Yelp request right away. He communicated clearly and with urgency over the phone and handled my job the same day, within a few hours on a Saturday. Other companies were not as fast to respond and were not as straightforward. When he arrived he was courteous and did the job effectively and quickly. I also appreciated that he gave me a fair price. I can see why his company has such great reviews. I will definitely be calling him for my next job. I would highly recommend his services.
I just left my sisters house in DC where James did some work to repair a cracked expansion tank. The insurance adjuster had already been to the property, had the damage assessed by a professional and authorized my choice to use The Drain Fighter; James and another gentleman came to do the repairs. My sister has had 2 other assessments since the repair. Both assessed that the water heater was damaged in the process of repairing the expansion tank because it wasn’t damaged prior to the expansion tank repair as noted in the insurance assessment. I heard this from the new plumber myself!! It looks like tiny holes were drilled or something in the water heater but we couldn’t see them until the new plumber showed us!! To be honest after completing the $350 expansion tank job, my sister was informed by James that the job was completed he then said “but you need a water tank” he offered to install a water tank for $2,100 !!! But here is the issue the tank had no problems no damage before he installed a new expansion tank! Water is coming from the pipe from the hot water heater to the new expansion tank . So she had to turn the water off until it is fixed. My sister texted to complain we have copies of the text and have submitted a complaint to BBB, FTC and we are now on to a massive social media complaint with pictures!! This is horrible .
