You have to try this place! It was clean, delicious and the service my family got was top notch! Crabs were the best I have had in a while and the venue was very clean and cozy inside. Our server was very nice and helpful, world of a difference from the service the twin crab place nearby offers. Come to this place if you want to enjoy a great crab boil.
Bringing the flavor thats for sure. It was my sons first seafood boil, we had snowcrab, shrimp, lobster + corn + potato with the original cajun sauce medium heat. We also took the fried blue crab claws, cheesecake and bignets. Our server was great made us feel at home.
This placs absolutely deserves every one of its 5 stars! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. The service here is top-notch—servers are attentive, friendly, and always ready with recommendations or a quick refill. They genuinely care about your experience, which makes the whole meal even more enjoyable. Now, the food—wow! The seafood boils are bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to absolute perfection. The crab legs were juicy and easy to crack, the shrimp were plump and tender, and the signature sauce was a rich, garlicky masterpiece with just the right amount of spice. Every bite was unforgettable, and the portions were very generous. One thing to note: this place is popular. During peak hours, it’s packed, and the wait can be long because so many people want to eat here. But honestly, that just proves how good it is. I’d recommend planning ahead or coming a little early, because once you’re seated, it’s 100% worth it. The Famous Crab is hands down one of Houston’s best seafood spots. Amazing food, incredible service, and a lively atmosphere especially during the weekend!
Best boiled bags in the Houston area! I've been missing good boiled crab legs. Famous crab has their boiled bags perfected! Build your own bag; I chose shrimp, snow crab, mushrooms, and potatoes. My server, Mandi, covered all the details and helped me craft the perfect bag for me. Every bite was filled with flavor. If you like spice, Mandi can help with that too, but I stuck with mild. The flavors were spot on. I will definitely make the hour drive each way in the future to fill my crab cravings. I was feeling guilty for eating such a great lunch, so I took a boiled bag home for my husband. He loved every bite, and the food was still warm after my hour drive home. You won't find better food or service anywhere else. If you are traveling from the north, use Beltway 8 for a smooth commute.
Really enjoyed this place. We always look to see if the ratings are excellent 👌. Well it was all we expected. We shared this dish which had sausage, crab legs, corn, boiled eggs, shrimp🦐. We got the mild flavor it was delicious. If you like seafood you will love this place. Definitely going back! They have an array of things you could get. Oysters as well. I don't think you'll be disappointed!!
