I visited The Judith on New Year’s Day not knowing if it would be open, but as soon as I saw the warm lights from the counter, I knew I’d made the right choice. Parking was easy on the street, and stepping through the beautiful front door felt like entering a cozy French café right out of a Parisian neighborhood. The place was bustling — every table and almost every seat at the bar was filled — and you could instantly tell this is a spot locals truly love. The French‑inspired decor, warm lighting, and chic yet relaxed vibe transported me straight to a café in France. I sat at the bar and ordered a cortado, which was rich, smooth, and perfectly made. I also tried the Sardine & Rouille tartine — a slice of sourdough topped with Spanish sardines, rouille, sea salt, and a hint of lemon zest — and it was an unexpected revelation. I wouldn’t typically order something with sardines, but it just felt right, and it turned out to be one of the most flavorful and memorable bites I’ve had in this area so far. The entire check for the cortado, tartine, and tip came to $14.72 — a small price for such a refined, memorable experience. From the impeccable coffee to the artful tartine, The Judith delivered an unforgettable breakfast that felt both refined and delightfully authentic. The French café ambiance, attentive service, and thoughtful food make this a must‑visit in Cleveland.
Second time here and this is the best privately-owned coffee shop I’ve been to in Ohio! You get your moneys worth in every sip and bite! They serve coffee out of glass mugs and that is a huge bonus! The workers are welcoming and friendly. The ambiance gives an antique and comfortable vibe. I will definitely be back.
I should take away a point for the service which is sooo slow, however the place is lovely and the food was so Incredibly inventive, unusual and delicious, and the staff ended up being super nice and friendly that I would give this place ten stars if I could. We had lunch, all three of us had the salad Nicoisse, with a sublime citrus dressing which may have been the best I have ever had including in France. Even better if that was possible was the fava bean appetizer. Again some magical citrus dressing. You know a dish is special when your taste buds have an orgasm But you can’t figure out why. We also had the spicy bloody Maries. Highly recommended!
We couldn’t find a brunch place that wasn’t a long wait and the Juneberry table staff was rude to us . Instead, we drove a few blocks down the street to Judith. Open seating amazing coffee delicious French fair. A really nice ambience, coffee shop meets old French Café. Much nicer staff, great service. Highly recommend no wait on a busy Sunday. No pretensions or having to deal with the defensive line backer to try to get a table. We had their croque monsieur and croque royale. Bread is fresh baked. These breakfast sandwiches are heavenly. Lattes were perfect too.
One of the coziest coffee spots I’ve visited lately! The vibes were absolutely charming — warm, welcoming, and beautifully set up. Everything we ordered tasted so fresh, especially the labneh! It had the perfect tangy flavor and smooth texture. The coffee was rich and perfectly brewed. Plus, the staff were super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxed, feel-good place with quality food and great service
