It has taken me years to find a salon I trust in the Kansas City area. The first time I went to Taylor I was hooked - she knew my hair type and exactly what was needed. I have been going to her every since as she is the best. I also love that the salon uses organic products (the best products around) and is environmentally friendly. I always look forward to my visit/appointments with Taylor and catching up on the latest while getting an amazing cut.
I love the organic salon. I’ve been going for a couple of years now I think. The salon space itself creates such a calm, clean and relaxing environment. I also appreciate that it doesn’t have the typical strong chemical scent that many other salons have due to their products. Taylor is the best and I love coming to see her! I always feel so comfortable and listened to.
I loved my experience here! I got a curly cut and had no idea my hair could curl so beautifully! Kayla was my hairdresser and she was so sweet! She gave me advice on how to care for my curls and brought them to life. The vibes in the salon were wonderful- good music and a quiet and accepting environment. I’ve been letting my hair grow out, but I am definitely going back when I need a trim!
Such an amazing way to start the weekend! Walked in and was immediately greeted and felt very welcome. Taylor did an amazing job discussing my hair goals. She skillfully dry-cut my hair. Followed by a very relaxing shampoo and deep conditioning mask. My blowout and curls look fantastic! I can’t wait to try the scalp facial next time. The salon is very easy to find with ample parking.
I have trusted Michelle with my hair since the Spring of 2013. (I’ve followed her to two different salons across state lines – she’s THAT good.) Her work is impeccable, and her technique is top-notch. We’ve mastered “my usual”, and she doesn’t need to be reminded mid-cut what I’d like. Her salon is gorgeous. It’s spacious but warm, bright but inviting, and there are plenty of beverage options from coffee to water to soda to wine – you really have to TRY to have an uncomfortable experience. The personalities of all her stylists are cohesive and mesh very well – I’ve formed friendships with some of the other stylists, just through chit-chatting during my appointments over the years, and I would trust any of them to do the job if Michelle was ever unavailable. I’m never nervous about how the finished product will look, and I know that if I have any anxiety or worries mid-cut, Michelle will patiently pause and walk me through her process. (I’ve seen the other stylists do the same with their clients – there is no ego here.) I cannot recommend Michelle or The Organic Salon enough. After twelve-plus years of service, she has become a friend, confidant, and mentor of sorts, and I’m always eager to catch up. She is a treasure (along with the rest of her stylists) and you would be a fool to not give this salon a try. (And please don’t be intimidated by any edgy cuts or bright color jobs you see advertised – I have a very straightforward, low-maintenance, zero-product style, and have never felt out of place.)
