The guys were great. I had a trainer and a trainee So I knew it was going to take a little while longer to inspect both furnaces. It was nice to see the time being taken to do proper training in an actual customer situation. And from what I observed the training was pretty thorough. TLDR: 5/5 service fee/Diagnosis value, 1/5 value for everything else Had a very odd issue with my furnace, after days of troubleshooting, I called Thomas and Galbraith. They were able to successfully pinpoint the issue after 2 techs over 2 separate visits. I am rating them a 5/5 on diagnosis and value: Their service call/diagnosis fee of 100$ is very fair and I was only charged a singular fee even with the extensive troubleshooting it took to figure out my issue. Their diagnosis was accurate and the two techs I worked with were very respectful/kind! For this I would use their diagnosis services again. I am rating a 1/5 on their cost for labor/parts/etc.: I am fairly familiar with HVAC equipment and operation, I was quoted $1,350 for JUST LABOR to install a new inducer motor/housing. (part is normally around $200) The part was covered under warranty as my unit was only 2 years old, this was JUST LABOR. I was able to source the part through a licensed tech and install it myself in 10 MINUTES. 4 bolts, a new gasket (included), and connecting quick-connect power for almost $1400??? This may be a fair price in the HVAC industry but in no way could I ever justify paying that price for a 10-minute plug and play install that only required a screwdriver and some common sense. Do your research before accepting a quote, you may be able to save yourself a lot of money.
We have had excellent service from Thomas and Galbraith and the technicians have been friendly and knowledgable. Most recently we had a broken pipe under the basement floor of our 135 year old house. Shawn arrived quickly and pinpointed the problem area with a flexible camera system. John and the crew completed the repair in a day and a half and thoroughly cleaned up the work area. We were very happy with the whole process. We have had a maintenance contract for several years for both HVAC (3 units) and plumbing. We have been very satisfied and would definitely recommend.
I would not recommend Thomas and galberth for any plumbing issues. My mother had a new toilet and walk-in shower installed. When they left job unfinished they left a hole in the floor and left holes in walls, left exposed wire mesh in the cut tiles in the wall left exposed walls in the new walk in shower. We are very disappointed with the work . Medical professionals even said it was not safe for an elderly person to walk or even be in the bathroom. It was unsafe for any one to be in it. Very high prices for a job the did not do very good job on . They state they do not do cosmetic work. This is more then cosmetic work they left . They left unsafe conditions in an elderly person home that could have been avoided if they finished a job correctly . . This is how they left my mother’s bathroom . How it anyone right mind can say this is finished work
If I could give 10 stars I would. New furnace and a/c installed today and I couldn’t be happier. What a great experience from my salesperson, Jake, to my installers: Scott, Daniel, Jonathan and Jamaal. Very professional and willing to work with our schedules to get it done. Very nice installation and they were respectful of our home and cleaned up any messes that might have occurred. Bravo to each and every one of those involved in this project!
