It's just anime Gacha. If you're looking for something else this is not the place, but it is a cool spot in Post Houston for walking around after or during a date.
9/26/2025 Rating lowered from 5 stars to 3 stars. Went from $2 per coin, which was already expensive to $3 per coin. Which is pretty insane. The amount of coins required per machine has not changed. Old review: Awesome place. Loved Gachapon in Japan. So happy it's here in Houston as well. Very helpful staff.
Finally was able to visit this place a few days ago because parking at Post Houston was difficult before when I tried visiting on a Friday/Saturday. Found this place through the official gashapon site since it has a star near its name. I guess I was pretty early since it was just open and it was just me, a weekday, the lights were off, but I like quiet shopping. It’s a good thing I looked at their website before visiting because they have a useful video about their token machine and that the machine doesn’t take $5 bills. $2 for 1 token and I was surprised the gashapon was decently priced for imported items. I saw most machines between 2-3 tokens and some few for 4. Luckily, I came when no machine was sold out but I did take one last capsule from one machine. I got lots of cute stuff. Hope they get more stuff someday. There’s a place by the token machine to discard empty capsules but I was cautious of the time for parking so I left quickly without recycling the capsules and I feel bad about it. I heard they also have a location by the University of Houston but I don’t want to deal with their campus parking situation. Hopefully one day if they open another location, they’ll be somewhere that isn’t downtown maybe a little more west from their location. I’ll visit again someday!
Unique toys for all ages. It’s fun to buy the coins, look through the offerings, and pick what you want. I have a growing collection. Nothing quite like it in Houston.
Monday after the lunch hour. Waited for 45min for an attendant, to buy tokens, since both token machines were broken. Then spent another 30min looking for someone with a lanyard. All this while at least 3 other groups of people were looking for an attendant throughout POST. Terrible experience. If you dont see an attendant, dont waste your time.
