Tony runs a great operation here. He came out to do an inspection on a home I was purchasing and gave us some great safety items we should take care of before we moved in. We were scheduled quickly and Dillon came and did a wonderful job with the work. They were fast and polite, and actually did an additional project for me while they were there.
Tom King Electric did an awesome job of installing boxes for security cameras and a Tesla Universal Charger. I was able to email pictures for a rough estimate and discuss where and how to set it up. Would absolutely call here again for any other electrical needs. The guys that came out were super friendly and were patient to make sure everything was right. They even used good brands on breakers.
We recently purchased a Tesla Model Y and needed an electric vehicle charger installed at our home. After contacting multiple electricians and receiving various quotes, we decided to go with Tom King Electric. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, but they were easily the most professional in all our interactions. There's no reason for me to have regular interactions with electricians, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Tom King Electric was listed on the Tesla website as a Certified Installer, so that led me to their website which was easy to navigate, find their contact information, and easily get a quote. We needed our Tesla Wall Charger installed in a detached carport at an older home, so I did have some additional questions regarding running a new below-ground power line and whether our main electrical system was adequate. A staff member even came out to do a no-fee site visit ahead of time to make sure we didn't run into any surprises during the actual installation. For the installation itself, the two electricians who came out to do the work were very professional and courteous. They even parked their heavy work truck in the street as a precaution to make sure it didn't crack our driveway. I'm personally not an electrician so I've no clue what they actually did, but they were cool about letting me watch and ask questions as they worked. After the installation, they cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess we'd have to deal with later. Again, the staff at Tom King Electric was wildly helpful, patient, and professional in putting up with all my nonsense. In full disclosure, they did offer a $10 discount on our invoice if we left them an online review, but I'd have left them a positive one otherwise. I'd have no problem recommending Tom King Electric. Our house is nearly 100 years old, so I'm sure we'll have them back out at some point.
I found Tom King Electric to be responsive, professional, and reasonably priced. When I was looking for an electrician to install my Tesla Wall Connector on a new 60 amp circuit I first called another electrician who had some good reviews. They came out, inspected, took measurements, then ghosted me without even sending an estimate. I found Tom King Electric on the Tesla certified installer list and called them. They asked me for a few photos of my existing electric service and sent two estimates: one to add a 60 amp circuit to my existing 125 amp service, one to upgrade my service to 200 amps before adding the 60 amp circuit. Once I decided which option to choose they scheduled the installation for the next full day I had available. They had to replace the mast, meter, and main panel so my electricity had to be shut off while they did that - about 3 1/2 hours. Once the power was back on they installed the Tesla Wall Connector, a new outlet to replace one that was in the way of the new box, a new grounding spike, and a surge suppressor for the panel. About 3 more hours.
We needed to install a Tesla wall charger. We started contacting vendors on the Tesla approved list. Unfortunately we didn’t contact Tom King Electric, Inc. initially since it was further down the list. The other vendors weren’t very helpful and didn’t return our calls for many days. So I contacted the other vendors on the list. Tom King Electric, Inc. was very responsive and I was able to speak with someone who was very helpful immediately. They scheduled my install within 2 days. The gentlemen who came to install the charger were very professional, polite and really helpful. They did everything to accommodate my needs. The price of the install was better than other companies I had contacted. I couldn’t be happier with this entire process. I now have someone I can trust for all my future electrical needs.
