Super nice and kind staff with great service combined with homey Japanese style food with many options and choices. Ordered the Udon double size with noodle and protein and the salad with raw salmon and avocado and both were super nice. The udon broth wasn’t your usual commercial run of the mill stock. You could taste it had fish /kelp stock in it and it was yummy and like home cooking. You could tell that the food here was made with love and care. Enjoyed my meal and the kindness of the lady staff (didn’t interact with the chef but I assume they probably own the place) - will be back.
One of the best spots in Canberra for Japanese/Asian food. Have tried all 3 udon, rice and soba, everything was a huge hit, strongly recommend the tender grilled beef and crispy salmon katsu, also strongly recommend the garlic chilli sauce if you can handle some spice (it really kicks). Super friendly staff, food cooked fresh and serves in reasonable speed. Good serving size for the price.
I saw so many good reviews about this Japanese place, so I thought, why not give it a try? I ordered the chicken udon, and wow, it was amazing! The soup was rich and flavourful, served at just the right temperature, and the chicken was perfectly cooked and tasty. Prices are reasonable, and the customer service was excellent. On top of that, they even offered me a free meal tasting with a drink can’t ask for anything better than that! Absolutely amazing
First thing first, this is really hidden gem, exceptional!!! 💕 We went here as recommended by our friends and not expecting this treasure. The staffs and hospitality are amazing, the food also really pampering us as we do only consume halal meats they briefly explained that their suppliers indeed halal 😍 We ordered soba tender beef, udon prawn and also not forget to take away the sushi, all delicious 😗 Get free testing food as well incredible 🤩 And also they are so baby and kids friendly, even they provide cutleries for our baby 🥰😍 Will definitely back and recommend to other friends, just sadly they are not open on the weekends and just noticing from google 🥲
The tamagoyaki is as fluffy and subtly sweet, the soba is perfectly chewy with a clean, earthy broth that feels like a warm bowl of tradition, and the chicken in every menu we order is tender, juicy, and seasoned just enough to remind you of those comforting home‑cooked meals. The hospitality is amazing, every bite feels like a nostalgic hug! You should give it a try. Recommended.
