We had a great time here this morning! I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews about the owner, but she was lovely and very accommodating to me and my son. Just wanted to leave some positivity for her because it’s probably hard running a play place and daycare by yourself. Little deli is just down the road so you could easily do play and casual lunch afterwards. Turned out to be a fantastic morning, which was much needed for me after a long and tiring week. We can’t wait to come back soon.
We love the Toybrary! One of the best places in Austin to bring your kids. Liza runs a fantastic facility that is safe, clean, and FUN. I wholeheartedly recommend bringing your kids here.
If you haven’t tried this place yet—man, you’re seriously missing out! It’s an incredible child play area that offers unlimited play with a wide variety of shared toys, plus developmental toys you can borrow that align with your own child’s development plan. There’s also access to outdoor play, which is such a bonus. It’s the perfect spot for kids to make new friends, celebrate birthday parties, or just burn energy while having tons of fun. No hard selling, but lots of quality items available if you want to purchase something. They also offer gentle parenting support, a drop-in service, and loads of engaging activities. My daughter enjoyed every bit of it—and honestly, she left me alone (in the best way). She was totally immersed, having a blast, and I could tell she felt safe and stimulated the entire time. Highly recommend!
My girls and I absolutely LOVED the Toybrary!! It's not just a great place to play and explore—it's a community treasure. The special events are always a blast, and the toy library concept is brilliant for keeping playtime fresh without overwhelming young kids. In our age of over-consumption, Toybrary offers a refreshing, sustainable alternative that every parent will appreciate. Liza's expertise in developmentally appropriate toys is invaluable. She has saved me countless times with her drop-off childcare options, providing much-needed relief and peace of mind for a few hours in a day. If you're tired of the toy clutter or endless wish lists, consider a Toybrary membership instead. It's a gift that keeps on giving, offering endless fun and learning opportunities for your little ones. We can't recommend it enough!
Just go. You will love it. We adore the Toybrary and Ms. Liza the owner. We are longtime customers, and have been bringing our children here since they were small children. Even now that they are a little older (6,6,3), they still enjoy spending time playing with friends, exploring new ideas, and helping the smaller ones play. A visit to the Toybrary always gets a big “hooray!” From everyone. Ms. Liza brings a joy and life to the Toybrary and makes it shine. Her thoughtfulness, patience and kindness towards the children provide a calming, peaceful place for kids and parents to relax and play. With weekly events, date night care, parties, singalongs, outdoor play as well as educational classes, there is truly something for everyone at Toybrary Austin. We consider the Toybrary a crown jewel of our neighborhood- check it out, we are sure you’ll feel the same way too!
