I was visiting family in Rochester and desperately needed a haircut. I was growing out an undercut and asked one of their senior stylists for cut recommendations and we ultimately decided on a long bob hairstyle. She didn’t sacrifice too much length and added some soft layers around the face; she gave me a voluminous blowout and it looked fantastic. Couldn’t ask for a better style!
I wanted to like this place! The stylist was extremely nice, which is the only reason I gave 2 stars. I asked several times for an extra voluminous blow out. It was extremely flat. I showed several people and they agreed. When she showed me, she said she was adding volume at the "sides" and not the top. Thats not what I asked for. She tried to add "soft" hairspray, which was very weak and did not help. I said in the beginning to please not make it curly. She did leave curls. I pointed it out and she tried to fix it by brushing the curls inward. This did not work. The curls remain. She truly did not do what I asked for explicitly. It was for a very important life occasion. I tipped her well because she was nice. Unfortunately, I did not have time to go back due to my schedule. Very disappointed! Would not recommend unfortunately.
Kenna didn’t know how to brush(she did it from top to bottom and I had to correct her), cut or finish my roots with a blowdryer/flat iron. She cut way too much hair. As for most people hair means a lot to them and I am embarrassed of how my hair looks. I even called a week in advanced to let them know I have 3c and that I just wanted a trim. Laura was helpful and gave me a refund Don’t think I’ll return.
I visited Tru on park and got a haircut from Mia who was amazing! The whole experience was fantastic. Everyone at the salon was very nice, and the salon itself was clean and vibrant. Mia did a great job totally transforming my hair which was in rough shape. She was even able to salvage some grown out bangs I had cut myself. I wasn’t totally sure what I wanted for the cut, and she helped me think through my options. I would definitely recommend her.
I literally lost all hope with my hair after going blonde with my previous hair stylist at another salon. I made the decision to visit Tru on Park after some MUCH needed damage control. I was blessed to have Gordon come to the rescue! In my first visit ever with him, I left beaming. I came back a second time to request bangs and he just completely transformed me & my confidence. And just a few days ago I came back once more for some color touch-up and he just blew me away. He understood the assignment: fall vibes and healthier hair! You have no idea how many compliments I have been getting about my hair and how it was made for me. I owe it all to him! I have also been getting botanical hair treatment each visit and that has been doing wonders for my hair. Overall I am so over-the-moon happy to have met Gordon and to have him as my stylist. I figured everyone should know about how satisfied I am! I have finally found a salon I can trust. I’m giving some before and after pictures just to show how horrible my hair was before I first met him this August, compared to now. I am just so happy! Thank you, Gordon!
