Jamie was a great trainer and my girl really loved her. She was helpful and throughout the class made sure each dog had individual attention. She addressed any concerns and offered tips readily and was extremely knowledgeable. I would love to have her as a trainer in any future classes at Tucker Pups. Throughout the class we learned the basics sit, stay, down, recall, walking on a leash, leave it, touch, paying attention to owner instead of distractions, and a few other things. I enjoyed how the dogs got to play and interact but also had personalized attention.
Cooper didn't want to leave! Which suits us because we know he was treated well and had fun. We particularly appreciate Tucker Pup's for their ability to accommodate an unevenly socialized Australian Sheepard! They have excellent employees because he always comes home minding his p's and q's LOL! We also appreciate how well they communicate with us about anything we can improve at home, or understanding him better. Tucker Pup's is our go-to for boarding, for us it's worth every penny! Thank you Tucker Pup's!
We first met Phaedra at a puppy play session, and I immediately noticed how attentive and caring she was with all the dogs. When I found out she’d be Yiyi’s trainer for drop-off training, I had a good feeling about it - and I was absolutely right! Phaedra always prioritized Yiyi’s feelings and wellbeing throughout the entire process. Yiyi has some very typical shiba quirks and might not be the most obedient pup, but Phaedra was so understanding and patient with her. She also explained to me the “why” behind Yiyi’s behaviors and how to work with her personality rather than against it. Her insights really helped me understand Yiyi better and figure out how to connect with Yiyi in a way that actually works for us. Beyond just basic training techniques, Phaedra gave us so many helpful tips that made a real difference. But what really stood out was how she taught us to maintain a healthy mindset during training - for both me AND Yiyi - so we wouldn’t get too frustrated. I’d honestly never thought about that before, but it was such a game-changer in helping us stay positive and patient with each other. Phaedra was also incredibly responsive and thorough in her communication, which meant so much to me. She was also really flexible with scheduling, which I really appreciated. Throughout the whole process, I could see that Phaedra’s care for Yiyi was genuine and her passion for training was real. She never did the bare minimum - she always gave us more than we expected. Through working with Phaedra, Yiyi grew into a better-behaved pup, and I grew into a better dog mom who truly understands her dog. Thanks to Phaedra, Yiyi and I have a stronger bond and a happier life together. I can’t thank her enough. In just one month, Yiyi (a very strong-willed shiba 😂) has made AMAZING progress. I’m confident that other dogs would see the same or even better results with Phaedra’s help. Phaedra is truly an EXCEPTIONAL trainer, and we’re so grateful Tucker Pup’s brought us together!
Our dog, Westley (@mrwestleys), is obsessed with Tucker’s. We’ve tried other daycare/boarding places in the city since we moved from the West Loop, but we always find ourselves returning to Tucker’s because we love them that much! We adore the photos we get of our Westley having the best time (see pics attached!) with all his other buddies under the care of the Tucker Pup’s team. We know he’ll always be well taken care of and as dog parents that’s all we can hope for when we’re out of town! We highly recommend Tucker’s for your daycare/boarding needs!!
Tucker Pup's is excellent all around! As first time puppy owners, we booked private training lessons with Jamie. She is awesome! The lessons were instrumental in helping us learn how to support and guide our puppy as he adapted to our home. Three months later, we are all doing great! We also brought our puppy to several of the whippersnappers puppy socials and he absolutely loved them. I truly can't say enough good things about Tucker Pup's! I highly recommend!
