We love Universal Studios Hollywood! It's a great place for kids and adults, definitely something for everyone. In our experience the park was very clean, and the staff was super nice and helpful. The prices for food are high, so plan on that before you go in. A few of the rides can be a bit size restrictive, but there are tester seats outside those rides so you can check before you go through the whole line. We are going to be getting season passes the next time we go, they are way more affordable than some.of the other parks.
Has a great time. Highly recommend getting tickets beforehand, otherwise you may end up waiting in line for over an hour so we were told. For those requiring mobility scooters or wheelchairs, you have to wait until you are actually inside the location and immediately on your right. I paid $75 for the day, better that than suffering. Visited the Harry Potters area and enjoyed the ride. If you have a bad back or neck, dont do it. If you do the ride, the graphics are most excellent. Highly recommend the studio tour, learn a bit about behind the scene and how studio stages are created. If you like the Minions, try the ride. Dont do it if you have a bad back or neck. Again, the graphics are outstanding. For movie enthusiast, highly recommend this place.
This was my 1st time here. My husband and I instantly turned into big kids! 🤩 we had a blast! We were comped express tickets from our BDM woth Universal. I wouldn't go with any other ticket. Express pass was amazing. We didn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes in any line, other than food 🤭 most were less than 5 mins. The park is beautiful 😍 and we both highky recommend the studio tour! We learned a lot and had fun at the same time!
Wow! What an amazing experience universal studios was. From the second we walked in, everyone was so nice and welcoming. Themes were on point and we saw probably 5 characters within minutes of walking in all whom were in character and immediately made an effort with my son who was dressed as Mario. They made him feel so special and that was everything! Walking around the park the decorations and areas are so well decorated. It was awesome to be able to see so many people around so happy to be there while feeling the same ourselves unlike Disneyland had been. We were able to do every single ride here! We had fast passes but didn’t even end up needing these. Out of all the themeparks we did in Los Angeles, Universal topped them all and in all honesty saved our trip after the disaster Disneyland and knottsberry ended up being. Thankyou to all the lovely staff we met the day we came, honestly it was an amazing experience.
Universal Studios is a mixed bag that really depends on how much you enjoy movies and how much you can tolerate crowds. If you are a Harry Potter fan, it is almost a non-negotiable experience. Walking into Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley for the first time is genuinely impressive because the scale and the detail make you feel like you have actually stepped onto a film set. The rides themselves are high-tech but can be repetitive. Universal relies heavily on 3D screens and motion simulators. After the third or fourth ride where you are being shaken in front of a giant screen, it can start to feel a bit samey, and if you get motion sickness easily, you might have a rough afternoon. That said, the newer additions like the VelociCoaster in Orlando or the Mario Kart ride in Hollywood are massive steps up in terms of physical thrills and interactivity. One of the biggest frustrations is the cost of everything once you are inside. Between the ticket price, parking, and a twenty dollar burger, your wallet takes a hit before you even get to a ride. The Express Pass is almost a necessity on weekends if you actually want to see the whole park, but it often costs as much as a second ticket. If you are going to the Hollywood location, the Studio Tour is the clear standout. It is the one thing you cannot get at any other theme park and it gives you a real look at working backlots. In Orlando, the experience is much more spread out across different parks, which feels more like a full vacation destination but requires a lot more walking.
