I owe MR Calvin an apology, I blamed you for destroying and sabotage in my relationship, The relationship was fine than abruptly. My partner left vanished. He said tank had a fight and when you say it’s time to go it’s time to go and you made him Go to the fight you even made Him drive and that’s why he was gone for A week, That was the excuse he gave me when he came back homeless and broke back with his mom) as I found him🤣 I resented you I looked at you as a man that teardown families. I looked out for that man I lost myself. I felt like I was competing with you because he would keep leaving and say it was the gym Obligations and his loyalty to you. I was very naïve. I didn’t love myself at the time to even accept that excuse And blame you, However, after doing some research, I realize that you are STAND up man. That only want the best for our black youths .I even signed my son up at your gym back in the day we all looked up to you. I was very disappointed, however, disappointed in myself because I even believe It and I’m truly sorry and in my healing from the heartbreak almost 3 years ago I say thank you God I say I’m sorry to even look at you like that Mr. Calvin and I do understand another person actions does not dictate or take away the value of the gym. We cannot control who we hire so often times we don’t even know people wear a mask really well… Thank you for changing lives and I realized out of all of this because I have elevated in the past three years that sometimes what didn’t happen for you was the best thing that happened to you❤️❤️ I wish you much much much longer lasting life on this earth💪❤️💪
The energy was amazing, the vision and purpose of the places obvious. It is a place for disenfranchised, it is a place for well to do, is a place for females and males is a place that's welcoming to all. Though boxing is a sweet science, sometimes it can be considered truly a brutal sport. But two of the coaches were very involved. They made sure that the kids were safe as they were practicing this craft and learning the craft. The reason why I didn't give it a five is because everybody has opportunity for improvement and the main coach was not even really paying attention as she had the children sparring in the front of the gym. My opinion is if you're going to be a head coach or one of the main coaches You should be more attentive You should be there to really teach and if you no longer have the desire then you shouldn't be there at all especially not the main coach. All along Coach k to the great job by bringing this vision to pass for it is a safe haven for those who otherwise would not have one. Oh oh and maybe they should have, a penalty for using obscene language too much for the children just to teach them a better way of communicating.
I'm tired of people trying to tare a black man down, this man had been providing for his community..... if you want a comfortable place don't go to the boxing gym
Unless you’re a hypermasculine bro that wants to be a professional athlete don’t go. Otherwise you’ll be talked down to and intimidated. If you don’t look like you belong Coach Calvin will write you off and use scare tactics to intimidate you.
I had went to Upton boxing for signing my son up for boxing lesson. The teenagers who worked there was very rude & unprofessional. They shouldn't be working in there in facility where is children. I feel though as a parent. I want to make my son feel safe & comfortable.
