Veterinary Emergency Group helped my cat when I had no idea he needed urgent care. He had a blockage, and the treatment he received worked extremely well, he only had to stay one night at the hospital. They allowed visits, kept us constantly updated, and gave us clear instructions and the proper diet afterward. The doctors are well prepared and genuinely care about animals. The clinic is open 24/7, which makes a huge difference in emergencies. This happened during the first couple of weeks after they opened, and my cat hasn’t had any issues since. Highly recommend. Make sure your pet insurance is up to date 😉 it’s pricey, but absolutely worth your pet’s life.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot say enough incredible things about this urgent care veterinary clinic. The entire staff was compassionate, attentive, and absolutely amazing during one of the scariest moments as a pet parent. Our corgi, Joey, had gotten into chocolate and was experiencing lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, and tremors. While searching for emergency care, we chose this clinic. From the second we walked in, I felt safe and knew Joey was in the best hands possible. The open floor concept and keeping you with your pet through everything was exactly what I needed during such an anxious moment. It created a calm, reassuring environment, and I could truly feel the care and professionalism surrounding us. Joey was treated with so much respect and kindness, and every single staff member showed genuine compassion toward both of us. Pricing was clear and upfront, which I deeply appreciated, and they took the time to explain everything thoroughly and thoughtfully. The care was also extremely affordable, which was a huge relief. While there, I witnessed the staff care for multiple pets with such calmness, grace, and compassion, it was honestly beautiful to see. This place is truly not just a business, but a heartfelt and passionate environment dedicated to animals and their families. I am endlessly grateful to the entire team, especially Dr. Reinhart, Kelly, Judith, and every other angel I had the pleasure of interacting with. Joey is recovering well and resting comfortably. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring for our Joey boy and for everything you do. 🐾💙
NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE! My cat Solomon passed away on 1-2-2026 due to lack of attention from this place. On 12-31-25 My mom and I took Solomon in for a limping back foot. We were put into a room by staff because I had let them know from the beginning that he was agitated so he might be a little feisty. We waited 4 hours to see the doctor. Half way thru our visit i left my cat and mom to continue his visit at VEG to attend to other family matters. According to my mom Dr.Swan attempted to give him a physical exam but told her she could not due to him being too feisty, then proceeded to say that since at this point he seemed to be “not limping” that he would not need an x-ray. She then send him home with Onsior (pain medication). My question is why was a sedative not offered to give a physical exam? I have had 7 animals in my lifetime and when an animal is being a little agitated due to pain a sedative is always offered. The next day he continued to have a limp in his back foot but seemed to be somewhat better because of the pain meds. On Jan 2 we woke up to him barely breathing on the floor. Rushed him to another emergency vet and had to put him down due to his extreme condition. The other Vet said that he could have possibly had a heart condition and the limping was caused by a blood clot in his leg then spread. Although it ended up not being a broken or fractured leg, Dr. Swan didn’t offer to give a blood test, x ray, or even have the courtesy to give him a physical exam with a sedative. I understand that this is a hard job with a lot of responsibility but this mistake and lack of attention caused a lot of emotional damage to my family and I. I’m aware that even if Dr.Swan had found the cause of the issue at the time that he wouldn’t have much time left. Yet it’s the fact that he had to suffer and we had to put hin down in a state of panic. My baby deserved so much better than this. Rest in peace Solomon. 5•27•2018-1•2•2026
I highly recommend. It’s an open concept but rooms if you need. You get to stay with your pet during treatment. If they are hospitalized you can stay overnight with them in the room or visit anytime you want. I had a very positive experience with every single staff member. They took such good care of my cat during his hospitalization and even took time to make sure I was okay. They called me in the evening and morning to give me updates.
My small dogs (6 and 25 lb) were attacked by a German Shepherd. I’ve never taken them to an ER before, so I didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Reinhart was patient, compassionate, and I could truly tell she cares about her patients and their outcomes. Josh is the only staff member’s name I remember because he initially triaged over the phone, but I wish I remembered the other ladies’ names as well. Every single person who had even the tiniest involvement in their care was stellar and clearly loves what they do. My husband and I both work in human medicine, previously in critical care, and we found ourselves drawing so many parallels with the level of care we witnessed. It gave us an even deeper appreciation for the challenges this team must face every day: navigating families’ intense emotions, managing burnout and moral injury, and moving through waves of tragedies during a shift. Despite all of that, they showed up for our dogs with professionalism, empathy, and genuine heart. We are so grateful for this team. The emergency staff spoke to us with such kindness and clarity, even between patients. Nurses who weren’t directly involved still checked in and offered reassurance. Once all the critical cases were stabilized and most patients were discharged, we even shared a few laughs while we waited for imaging results. No one ever has a “good” ER visit, but they made it as painless as possible. I walked in on the brink of tears and left feeling comforted and confident that our dogs would be okay. I hope the team is consistently supported and recognized for the skill and heart it takes to do this work well. Their dedication made the worst night I’ve had in years feel manageable and we’ll never forget the impact the staff made on the experience. I hope to never return to an ER, but if I ever do, I know exactly where I’d go.
