Went for a crisp and wine pairing evening. The actual wine was very good and I'm sure the information given would have been really interesting if only we could have heard it. The venue inside the market hall was far too noisy due to the openess of the seating area. And it was distracting to have customers of Tiny Rebel constantly walking through en- route to the toilets.
The shop has a great selection of wines at a variety of price brackets, including a number of Welsh wines. Sara delivered a thoroughly entertaining and informative wine tasting (Hidden Grapes), and I'll definitely be back for another in the near future!
I recently organised a hen party of 22 people for a wine tasting experience with VinVan. It was fantastic and Sara was just incredible! She has so much knowledge and is incredibly friendly. I’m not much of a wine drinker myself, but I thoroughly enjoyed tasting a selection of six different wines. I would definitely recommend the Sip’N’Crunch package if you are organising a group trip! Thank you so much Sara and team!
Sara’s knowledge and selection of wines is amazing. She sorted me out with one of the best wines I’ve had in my life. Mad that for the price of a couple of pints that you will soon forget, you can have a bottle of wine that will stay in your mind forever. Vin Van Cymru is now my first stop for something special.
Great little friendly wine merchant in the impressive Newport indoor market. Lovey selections by the glass and almost impossible to leave without taking a few bottles home. The markets table ordering system will only allow you to order wine from the academy bar which has a poor selection. Organisers are really missing a trick there.
