I’m so glad to have this local wine store right in my neighborhood! It’s honestly a hidden gem. The selection is fantastic — they carry everything from everyday favorites to really unique finds that you won’t see at the big chains. Whether you’re on a budget or looking to splurge on something special, they have options across all price ranges. What really sets this place apart is the staff. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about wine. Every time I visit, they take the time to listen to what I’m looking for and offer thoughtful recommendations without any pressure. It feels more like chatting with a friend. Beyond the wine, the store has a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes browsing a pleasure. They also host a lot of tastings and events, which are perfect for discovering new favorites and learning more about the world of wine. If you’re in the neighborhood and love wine, this store is a must-visit.
This is my favourite wine store in Calgary. Once you understand what style of wines you like, it’s easy to walk up to your “wall” because literally anything you pick will be something that satisfies your palate. Don’t know what you like? Head over on a Saturday and try 6 wines and discover your style! Nathalie has done a great job in curating an exceptional wine experience. Her staff is excellent and super friendly, all of them scholars at various levels of Wine Spirit and Education Trust certification. They know what they’re talking about. I have a group of friends that meet every month at the shop for a wine tasting, and every time the wines are top notch. It’s always my first stop when I go shopping for wine. And usually I don’t need to go anywhere else. I’m delighted and grateful something like this exists in Calgary.
A hidden gem in Kensington. Wonderful and uniquely curated selection of wine, spirits and beers. One of the only places in town to find rare favourites such as Harris Gin. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The owner Nathalie runs fantastic tastings and events where you will be sure to find a new wine that you love. Worth a visit for sure.
Whether you're an oenophile or a newbie to wine, get thee to Vinestyles! Great knowledgable staff that always introduce me to different styles and discover new favourites, they take the time to help you make the right choice. A boutique approach to wine with unique producers along with some stellar liquor and a wall of delicious beers and ciders to choose from. If you've never been, check out their Saturday Style Day tastings and it's also a great spot to host intimate events for teams. A woman-owned business, Nat and her team always make my experience a good one, even though I always leave with more than I came in for, I'm never disappointed. Here are a few of my favourites...
Natalie shared her wealth of Sommelier knowledge on sparkling wines with us at our corporate event. I was very impressed with her enthusiasm and the depth of her experience. It was a very enjoyable event. I loved the selection wines that she shared, and the exceptional cheese pairings. I was also delighted at the partnership Vine Styles have with another Kensington favourite - Peasant Cheese Shop!
