This is my favorite store in Detroit! It’s a beautiful store full of Mexican pottery, jewelry, beautiful clothing, art, household items like mirrors, lamps, planters all colorful pieces handmade in Mexico. Everything is beautiful. The owners Diana and Paola are amazing and it is very easy to see how much love and attention they give their customers and their store. They’ve spent so much time with me and other customers carefully helping me pick things out and they are always so patient and friendly and genuine. You will love everything about the store and Diana and Paola!!
I saw Viva La Vida from across the parking lot while exploring the Eastern Market and I knew I had to go in. The mural outside is beautiful and the store itself has so many incredible items all placed in such a thoughtful manner. The owners were so kind and have truly crafted such a unique and welcoming storefront. I'll be checking their website for new items and absolutely coming back next time I'm in the area.
Check the store hours before you make the drive in. Absolutely wonderful Mexican collection! The craftsmanship is magnificent. It was hard deciding on what to take home.
Coming across their Instagram page was a blessing. I may not be Mexican but we all have indigenous roots and I have never felt closer to those roots than now. This amazing shop has kept our culture alive by bringing such amazing pieces that are all handmade and shipped with so much care. I have bought jewelry, clothes, shoes, housewares and decorative pieces and every single time they have always been so amazing. Their customer service is the best and it's why I will continue to buy from them until my pockets run dry 😆. Chicas from the bottom of my heart thank you for all the beautiful pieces you have introduced me too. I can't wait to add to my collection and to one day be able to meet you both in person and see your beautiful store.
I've been shopping with Paola and Diana for over six months, the products are great quality, they are super friendly, honest and willing to work with their customers.
