I can’t say enough great things about this rock gym. Ali, Josh and the rest of the staff are phenomenal. They continually change up the walls and have the best route setters on island. They truly care about the guest experience. Their youth development / climbing team program is outstanding. The time and effort they dedicate to developing these kids is commendable. Above all, the sense of community at this gym is what truly makes it an amazing place. If You want a fun climbing experience with a great group of people, Volcanic is not to be missed!
Going to this gym and becoming part of the community has been no less than life changing for me. Beyond just fitness, I feel like what I've gained socially and mentally are priceless. I've met many different people, from simply new friends, to shoe a resoler, physical therapists, coaches, and even a professional climber. The opportunitues have been continuous, and I'm so grateful for every one of them that have come to me. Mentally, I feel like my headspace is in the best spot it's ever been in! In fact, recently I dislocated my shoulder, and on one hand I could get down on myself, but on the other, everyone would start sharing their stories of how they were able to work through their injuries, or different exercises, or cool videos to watch while injured. I really felt supported by everyone that I had met. One of the owners I really wouldn't trade the nearly 3 years I've been with them for anything else. Thank you Rex and Ally for making such a wonderful space, and thank you Volcanic fam for everything ^^
One of the best gyms I've ever been to. It has a great vibe with people who are very serious about climbing, and super friendly staff. Everyone was also really supportive to my friends who are new to climbing.
Love this place! The staff is friendly, the place is super clean and pretty reasonably priced. The kilter boards keep it interesting and different. If you like bouldering I definitely recommend it!
El único lugar para escalar en interiores en Oahu. Un entorno agradable y agarres excelentes. Está un poco concurrido y definitivamente necesita más estacionamiento. El dueño ha construido más paredes y ha creado una zona especial solo para entrenar y desarrollar fuerza. Me recuerda mucho a los gimnasios de escalada del continente: aquí puedes escalar y ponerte fuerte. El grupo habitual de escaladores es muy agradable y siempre ofrece ayuda para completar la beta para principiantes. ¡Échale un vistazo si eres escalador de roca!
