I have visited and purchased from this nursery several times over the past couple years after moving to the area. Generally, the staff is friendly and helpful with questions. When I saw a tree in a neighbors yard that I was curious about, they offered me a clipping and I know I could go to Whitfill to get help identifying it and purchasing it. We were approached by an older gentleman who promptly identified the tree as a Hong Kong Orchid and showed us where they had smaller and larger versions of the tree. The smaller versions were around $150 but when we looked at the larger trees they were all tagged $125. Deciding that we'd like to get the larger tree which was for some reason less, we asked him what the process was for delivery and planting. He proceeded to give us the pricing and we indicated we wanted the trees tagged for $125. Immediately, he said these weren't $125 and that the price tag was wrong. in his words "I could put this tag on those smaller trees." We were confused because we didn't see any other pricing on these trees at all, just the $125 price tag. He left and came back to tell us that these trees were actually $500. Deciding that we didn't want to pay four times what was shown on the tag, we left. His attitude and approach to this situation were extremely disappointing - making it unlikely we'd ever come back here again. As we left, we watched him scurry over to the trees and rip all the tags off so they could charge more.
Way over priced! Bought a tree a year ago and it died. Stopped by A&P and the same size tree was 140 dollars cheaper. Customer service was great and they have really nice stuff. It definitely helps to shop around.
Great experience shopping here - came here to buy a housewarming gift for our friend and Cally (hope I am spelling their name correctly) helped us pick the perfect one. They walked us through the nursery and helped us find a beautiful pet friendly plant!! If you ever shop there, make sure to ask for Cally! 10/10 experience because of them. Thank you again Cally💗🤩
This place is awesome to hang out at and get plants. They have a wide variety and my mother has bought like 30 of them! Our house is turning into a jungle! They also have some birds in the greenhouse and they like to talk.
This is a nice nursery. They have a good selection of both outdoor and indoor plants. They offer some trees at fair pricing (not as many as Tree Land over on Arizona Ave, but FAR more than Summer Winds). This nursery has a nice selection of pottery and garden art, as well as a HUGE tropical plant greenhouse. There are lots of dinosaurs to entertain young kiddos. The staff is friendly and helpful.
