I have been doing a bookstore tour around Indiana (and I also have been to many others in the US whenever I travel). This bookstore impressed me and is holding my #2 bookstore spot in Indiana so far!!! I loved the children’s section—this was one of the best ones I have seen yet…second only to Books of Wonder in NYC! The sheer amount of children’s books they had was impressive and I loved the different varieties and how easy it was to shop this section! They had many autographed copies as well! I wished there would have been like one more room of adult books—that felt a smidgen lacking, but I still loved it overall and was happy with the variety of what was found. I absolutely LOVED the amount of literary gifts, puzzles, mugs, etc that they had. There were SO MANY unique things that a book lover would ADORE having! I left wanting so much more than I purchased and I will be happy to visit again! Also, start your morning at Main & Madison Cafe and then head here for the perfect coffee & bookstore day 🥰 Can’t wait to go back!
What a sweet little gem this place is. From the first time you walk into the door you feel so welcome and cozy. My client and I were on the hunt for a jigsaw puzzle so stop to look at there's. The young lady working there was so kind and helpful. I definitely will return there's a lot more items there than book and puzzles. This is place is a must to visit if you're in downtown Franklin In., they're right across the street from the Willard.
I really like it here. Its a homey book store with a great selection of books and gifts
Wild Geese Bookshop is my favorite bookstore! Located in a cozy, historic building, the shop has a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you want to linger and explore. Tiffany and her staff have curated a wild selection of top-notch reads along with bookish merch and gifts, ensuring I never leave empty handed! What sets Wild Geese apart is the personal touch. The staff is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about helping customers find their next great read. Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful recommendation or just want to chat about books, you’ll always feel welcome. The shop frequently hosts author events (even a summer camp for grownups!) which are my favorite part. They have had a wide range of authors and I always leave feeling encouraged and excited to read. I hope everyone makes a visit to Wild Geese soon!
Cute little shop! It's not a very big book store, but these days I'm just happy to see a real book store. Now, I'm a huge fan of ebooks: the convenience, the portability, amazing. But there will always be something about holding a real, physical book, the way we have for centuries. I've never been a fan of the way online retailers display their selection, I like the old way of seeing rows of books that I can casually thumb through. Anyways, it's a neat little shop that used to be a house and makes no effort to disguise it. I was entertained when the girl working there said I could find a certain selection of books "in the kitchen". This little town is quaint, and a little book store is pretty much required for these tourist towns. It fits well. Check it out the next time you're in town, you might find your newest favorite author.
