Jake the bartender was amazing. He had the vibe in the store on 10. Knows how to make a drink and very friendly ! Will visit this bar again just because of his service !!!
This is one of the most unusual spots in Downtown Omaha, I was a newcomer, but this area is known as “the old market” made up of many historic places. The building I lived in was The Old Market Lofts building, on Jones. I thought wow look at all the bars around the area, but after many excursions the Old Market Lofts houses 3 things on the bottom floor, a gym, a coffee shop, and a liquor store (which in itself houses a bar). The beers on special are $2 a pop, nowhere better in town. Highly recommend coming in when Jake works, mostly Saturdays & Sundays when he is bartending!
Good experience at the thunderhead. The vibe is decent with a large outdoor patio. Only one person was working serving 20 people but he was doing a good job. We got a flight. Pricing was very good for it. There wasn't a beer that stood out for us. Beers in flight Frost warning new England IPA 4 stars Jalapeno ale 3.5 stars MacTawicch Scottish ale 3.5 stars Prairie peach wheat 3 stars
It was hot and before my trip back home, I need a cold one. There wasn’t a crowd, but it was early. I wasn’t sure what to have but trusted the staff with their suggestions. I wish I should’ve saved the name because my beer was perfect and crisp. It was one of the locals, of course. But perfect. Great staff and great atmosphere.
We had a bridal shower today at Thunderhead in Downtown Omaha and it couldn't have been more perfect! They were so laid back and easy to work with. Everyone was beyond nice and willing to answer questions/help out. The place was clean and just perfect for what we were looking for! I highly recommend this place and location to anyone!
