Actual one star. Had a couples massage and felt like they beat me up. Wincing most of the time, did not feel relaxing at all. My back feels sore as hell. This review is not enough to vent my anger at how shitty a message this was. The opposite of what it should be
Very unprofessional and unsafe experience. It was clear the staff is not licensed or properly trained. None of them speaks English, so communication was done through a phone, which led to serious issues. The person giving the massage kept pressing hard on my spine and glute area despite me repeatedly saying it was painful and asking them to stop. They clearly did not understand and did not listen. On top of that, there was pressure and judgment over tipping. I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. I will never return.
I wish I can give zero stars. It was a terrible massage I don’t even think this place is lisenced. I came early to wait for my appointment and the receptionist ( who is very nice) offered me a bottle of water and apologized that my massage lady would be late. I didn’t mind this. However this was the most unprofessional environment I’ve ever been in. First of all, no cream or oil was used, she used a towel on my neck that was DRY to do the massage as some kind of barrier? What the hell? The towel was scraping and hard and hurting me making everything more rough. She stopped a couple times to send voice messages during the appointment on her phone, she even sat on the table where I was laying down, she was yawning, and farting. How is this relaxing? I needed a neck massage, she did nothing but randomly press everywhere and did a massage on my body too? She was massaging my butt. Which I didn’t ask for. It hurt so bad when she pressed my head and neck in places where the bone was, not even muscle. I wanted to leave every second but I felt bad. I told her it was painful and she just laughed it off. This was the worst place I’ve ever been to, and worst service I’ve ever had. It looks sketchy , and the insurance paper they give is a scam. TERRIBLE PLZ DONT COME HERE. Edit; it’s the next day and my body is so sore and painful. I can’t even move my neck I wish I can report this place.
I called ahead to ask if they had a registered massage therapist (RMT). The receptionist said yes, so I booked an appointment. But when I arrived, they said if I wanted an insurance receipt, I’d have to pay an extra $15. The receipt was issued under another clinic in Gatineau — what does that have to do with this place? Clearly, they don’t have a real RMT. The massage therapist had no proper technique at all, just random pressing. I actually felt worse after the massage. Do not go to this place. Edit: I removed the clinic’s name. The owner’s response accusing me of defamation is completely false and misleading. My review is factual, accurate, and supported by evidence. The only clinic name I mentioned before was the one appears on the insurance receipt issued by their business — that is not private information and is directly relevant to my experience. The receipt lists a different business name, location, and therapist, which violates insurance and professional regulations. RMTs’ legal names and registration numbers are publicly available through the provincial regulator, and this discrepancy can be independently verified. I stand by every word of my review and will report this matter to the appropriate authorities if necessary.
Amazing experience! It’s a small place but very cozy and clean. I had a hot stone massage with Molly, and I was very impressed by her strength. She was very thoughtful throughout the whole massage, knew exactly what was my problem and I ended up falling asleep… I will definitely come back!
