First off, I would like to mention that I have been a returning customer to this store for multiple years and have always received excellent service. I had recently bought my girlfriend these gold earrings this last Christmas and she unfortunately damaged one of them. Then I went to ask further questions and the gentleman who helped me was Owen, I will say he was very professional and provided great assistance. After that with all the information he provided me with I brought the old pair of earrings and he was able to exchange them for me. Overall, I recommend this place.
Tried to do a simple ring size exchange in store. The employee didn't really know what he was doing and the store manager was absolutely worthless I felt bad for her employee. She has no business being the manager, she's horrible. We ended up doing a return after an hour of waiting. I've never experienced horrible customer service like this anywhere before. We Went to Jared's and had a custom piece made instead!
If I could give them zero stars or a negative I would. My husband bought my wedding ring from Zales in 2022. My ring needed to have the band reshaped and my main diamond fell out of my setting so he took it in to have it repaired since we have the lifetime warranty. This was several days prior to Thanksgiving. They had a difficult time finding him in the system and at first said the ring wasn't purchased at Zales. I still had the box and said nope go back. So he did. They finally found him and took the ring and noted what needed to be done. They told him it would take 2 weeks. Fast forward to a few days after the 2 week mark and we went to the mall on other errands and decided to see if it was done. They couldn't find it. Didn't know anything. I was becoming very upset. It's my wedding ring!!! They finally figured it out. They didn't even send it out to be repaired until the 4th of December. They told us it wouldn't be done until probably the 31st due to the extensive damage. Total crap. It needed the band reshaped which I have had done before and it took about 4 minutes and the stone reset. Lies. Fast forward to January 1st and my husband calls them..they know nothing and have to email the repair shop and will call us with an update. It's now 14 days later and we still have heard nothing back. At this point I am furious. I want my ring back. I want at least an update which apparently they cannot even manage to contact the person they send them out to. It's your darn job to do customer service. Who knows if or when I will see it again. I have no faith in that store and will purchase nothing from them going forward. Maybe in another month I will get some information on my ring. To say I am dissatisfied is an understatement. Lee Read is where you need to go. They actually care!
I have had ongoing issues with this store over the past 6 months that ultimately led me to decide I would not make a major purchase here. I attempted to create a wish list and was told it could only be emailed. On three separate visits, I was told it had been sent, but it never arrived. When I finally received it weeks later after half a dozen calls, the items listed were not the pieces I had tried on. I also purchased a bracelet that has repeatedly broken. Each repair has taken several weeks, leaving me without my main piece of jewelry for long stretches of time. The final issue was today. I rushed across town, rearranging meetings, to pick up my bracelet after being told it was ready. When I arrived to sign for it, the bracelet presented to me was not mine. These repeated errors and miscommunications made the experience unnecessarily stressful. Given the number of issues with relatively simple transactions, I did not feel confident moving forward important purchases.
Cameron was spectacular! Spent extra time cleaning additional rings NOT purchased from Zales. We have been coming to the Boise store for 3 years now and every time is a pleasurable experience. THANK YOU!
