15th Street Farm is a special urban oasis in downtown St. Petersburg — a half-acre nonprofit farm that brings people together around healthy food, community, and learning from soil to fork. I joined one of their immersive farm tours and loved how the experience centers on facilitation rather than instruction, making everything feel approachable and human. From regenerative farming practices and soil health to tasting produce fresh from the field, the farm’s mission comes to life in a simple, tangible way. The addition of a commercial kitchen and event space makes it even more vibrant, and proceeds from tours, dinners, and classes directly fund free outreach, gardening, and wellness programs for those in need. I left feeling calm, inspired, and genuinely connected — highly recommend experiencing it for yourself!
Overall, I would give a positive review when combining our two dinner experiences at this farm. I love the concept of offering farm-grown products in a social, communal setting. Our first dinner, a Halloween event, was a great introduction and enjoyable enough that it made us want to return. Unfortunately, our second visit for the Italian-themed dinner did not live up to the first experience. The chef, service, and hosts were different, and the overall quality felt inconsistent. Some appetizers, such as the cauliflower and eggplant, were overly salty. The focaccia was not served warm as it had been before, and there was very little of it—each guest received only one small slice, and when we asked for more, we were told it wasn’t possible. The salad, with very few tomatoes, was served quickly, followed almost immediately by the main pasta dish. Thankfully, the pasta was al dente and not too salty. Desserts were decent, although the tiramisu had an overpowering amount of limoncello. By the end of the meal, my husband, who is usually not a big dessert person, was still hungry. Considering the price point of approximately $90 per person, the small serving size, the fact that guests must bring their own wine, and that there is no option for seconds or even extra bread, the food and experience really need to be outstanding to justify the cost. I’ve read that they offer other types of events, which may be worth trying and could provide a better overall experience. As far as dinner, I don’t think there will be a third time.
What a great find!! We stumbled across a video about a dinner that's hosted at the 15th St. farm in St Pete! They use ingredients that they grow on their farm and they host about 40 to 50 people for dinner a few times per week! Everything is served family style from appetizers, entrées and desserts. They start the night by offering a homemade butterfly pea flower tea that they use the butterfly pea flowers from their farm. Appetizers were kimchi, pickles and coleslaw all from their ingredients on the farm. For the first course, it was a pumpkin soup, which was delicious! They had a little palate cleanser, and then the entrées were served, which was a chicken thighs and rice, pilaf and vegetable vegetables. They had this delicious focaccia bread that was warm and buttery. For dessert it was a pumpkin pie cheesecake which was amazing!! The night was fun good vibes good conversation with lots of people around to share a great meal! The owner stood up and told the story about the farm and thanked us for dining. What a great evening!
The only words I have are blown away. By the food, by the purpose and mission, by the founder - this place is absolutely worth the visit and taking the time to really learn about them. I will be back for many dinners as I have never been a bib gourmand or Michelin star that has tasted even CLOSE to how good this meal was.
What an amazing place! I lived in this area for over 20 years and I never even knew about it. I wish I knew sooner! Chef Emmanuel is so knowledgeable about the environment, the foods we eat, how we grow our foods, etc. he has so many wonderful plants/herbs/vegetables in the garden. Things I never even knew existed that are so beneficial to our health. There’s also a huge kitchen there where he teaches cooking lessons. Outdoor there is also a very long table, surrounded by the outdoors where they host events. Definitely suggest checking them out!
