Cute historical location where you can try the teas that were thrown into the river during the boston tea party. The employees are dressed for the time period, and very friendly.
Went here over the summer and loved it! We are big tea people and we had such a lovely experience. It was busy, but not packed but we did have to wait on all 3 green teas being refilled for >20 mins so most of the time we were just waiting for tea while we were there for 2 hours. The food is overpriced and not great, but the bakery is a great idea. It's also fun to see the tours going on and sitting outside on the back deck in the summer. Also a great idea to have the games on a few tables to pass the time. Will definitely try this place again, especially for $4-5 a person for unlimited tea
Pretty affordable for being in a super touristy spot! You go to the counter and have options of getting just the tea, or tea in a souvenir ceramic cup or the teapot experience (plus fold if you want). If you don’t care for the souvenir cup, just grab the $4(ish) bottomless tea and some scones. The scones are pretty delicious (cheddar one and cinnamon one was our fave) as were the cookies. Very nice spot to relax near a historic site and taste of bunch of teas! Great option if the $30+ tour doesn’t to interest you (it’s essentially a reenactment geared towards those young and young at heart). Don’t go expecting a traditional tea room experience (this is not that) and do be aware that they are strict on the time (ie, will kick you out at closing). Worth a try if in Boston!
Tried the tea here. Got a tasting of 5 different teas for only about 4.50, unlimited. Started off the strong ones first. Really felt the caffeine kick. First time getting Boston creampied also. It was good but idk what to compare it too. Nice views in back. Didn’t do the tour. People were throwing boxes of the boat.
A recommended stop. Come for the tour or even just to sit in the tea room and enjoy the tea tasting with the atmosphere. The five tea available for tasting was decent. I came with low expectations due to some reviews and as someone who has had good teas. But all five teas I had was right on in terms of what they are - the taste, the finish, and the color. I was impressed for a $4.50 bottomless cup of tea. The scones were delicious and a nice snack. Didn’t get to do the tour since weather was rainy and cold but looking from the tea room, seemed fun and good opportunity to learn the history behind in all.
