Dan Addington's gallery is absolutely wonderful, as is Dan. We walked in on a weekday and admired the beautiful mixed media pieces and paintings; some unassuming beauties, some spectacular displays. Dan is so passionate about the pieces and the artists behind the work and is an artist himself. We looked through some pieces not yet on display and found two absolutely moving encaustic paintings by Paula Blackwell (bees wax and oil paint!) Dan exemplifies the importance of working with local businesses- he made us feel like home in his gallery and when we were ready, he hand delivered the paintings to our home and installed them himself. This was a truly special experience and even if you're not interested in buying, it's totally worth stopping by his gallery to admire the works. 5 million stars to Dan!
The Addington Gallery in Chicago is a quietly powerful destination—its owner-curator brings deep passion for material and process, the selection is diverse yet cohesive, and the visitor is genuinely welcomed into art that thrills both visually and intellectually. A gem in the River North arts scene. 
Addington Gallery is one of my favorites in Chicago. Dan knows his art and his artists and always explains the work wonderfully. He's so passionate about each artist that you feel like you know them yourself! A great gallery with fantastic art!
Addington Gallery is one of the best galleries in River North and my personal favorite. We are fortunate to have so many great galleries in the city. Dan Addington’s gallery isn't the largest but I think it has the best selection if you're buying. I stop in every time I'm in the neighborhood to talk to Dan and see what’s new since my last visit. I like his welcoming style and that I can look as long as I like without feeling like I have to buy something. Dan knows his artists well and I appreciate the insights he provides about the paintings, something that I haven't always experienced at other galleries. I also like that if you follow a particular artist, Dan will let you know when a new painting comes in. I highly recommend Addington Gallery.
My partner and I found a beautiful painting on line and then visited Addington Gallery to view in greater detail. Dan Addington was most accommodating and dropped off the piece to be certain it was for us - and it was! Excellent experience!
