I have always done my own taxes. This year, I received an audit notice from the state that I owed a fairly large sum of money due to the fact that I consulted for a year, and being my first time doing so, I did not know I needed to file gross receipts tax. I reserved a 15 minute free consultation on their website and explained my situation to Vanessa. She knew exactly what my situation was, and provided me some very useful advice. Later, she did some preliminary calculations based on our discussion, and emailed me on how I should proceed. She could have advised me that I needed to resubmit my taxes using their services and charged a significant fee to do so, but she did not. In these days where everyone is about making as much money as they can when they can, I cannot express my appreciation enough. I will definitely recommend Affinity to anyone asking for a good and honest accounting organization going forward.
