My partner and I love the kickboxing classes at Alpha. I was definitely intimidated in the beginning, but all of the instructors have been hella helpful, supportive and fun. This is for sure the best work out experience I've had. We're both getting more conditioned, stronger, toning up and feel pretty bad ass. Definitely check out if you're looking for a great work out and big stress reliever!
Our son has been going here for the past 2 years and has absolutely loved it. He not only engages with the physical activity and coordination but also the mental lessons and challenges the dojo offers in the form of values and little bits of homework to engage with those values ( things like honesty, sportsmanship, self control, etc). He had his birthday party here and a friend joined and has loved it too. Great instructors and structure to the classes. Cannot recommend it enough.
This place is very friendly and welcoming. Mr. Ness and all other staff are engaging and great with children. Each lesson is short and tight, so kids will stay focused. My son has been going here since he was 10 years old, and it has made positive impact on him physically and mentally. I love the chanting they do at the beginning of the lesson too. They teach karate and good manners.
I have been taking classes here since June 2019. I would have never guessed that I would have been committed to Karate for this number of years (its been 5 years now), but I really enjoy the process of learning and practicing it, and it provides me with a confidence in my ability to defend myself, which I hope to never need, of course. Alpha Martial Arts is a fantastic place to learn and practice Karate, particularly starting as a novice adult student. It is a welcoming and inclusive environment, and at the same time you will be pushed to your personal best.
