Brought my Subaru WRX here to get my trunk repaired after it was damaged by a car wash. I went to karoll martin first and they quoted me 2200 dollars. So I came here next and was quoted 1200, immediately took the offer and 4 days later. Here I am with my car good as new!!
American auto body did a FANTASTIC JOB. My truck was in a minor accident but still had quite a bit of damage to the front bumper, brackets, radiator, trim etc…I had a cab trim piece that was painted and installed looks great awesome job. The work was done in a timely fashion and very professional. I’m an aircraft tech so I pay attention to detail and was very pleased. I received the car back expecting issues. John mentioned that there were problems getting the car to idle without a sensor being unplugged(which would put the car in limp mode)**limp mode is a protective feature** However, there were many MANY more than what was mentioned. To start.. he was replacing my long block(bottom end) After 4 months I received my car back just to have it back in another shop. I was told by John some of the components weren’t put on which was absolutely fine. I was told that the rail pressure was fine & John ensured me that everything was mounted properly! After bringing the car to another shop, the head gasket & oil pan gasket are leaking. The water pump hose wasn’t fully put on so that’s where the coolant was leaking from. The high pressure fuel pump was missing a tappet. There was metal wire holding parts together. The PCV valve was taped. The exhaust was improperly mounted. He blamed the exhaust & intake for the issues.. There was no consideration put into the way the wiring harness was placed. There’s tons of loose cables hanging that haven’t been remounted to the frame. The car interior was a dusty mess, the brake light is on & the traction control light is on because he broke the clockspring when mounting the steering wheel. Coolant light is on. Turning signal on the passenger side headlight is broken(which was the headlight John replaced) Bolts were replaced with random ones. 4 months, over 12,000$ & now even more to handle. The issues that the car has is ALL from things he worked on. He was putting the engine back together but now somehow it’s not his fault that the entire engine isn’t working right. The gaskets attached to the part he replaced is leaking.. it couldn’t be more clear Part 2. Just went to change my belt tensioner & found out the entire bolt is stripped. He will take advantage of people who aren’t knowledgeable about cars. Be careful.
The absolute best! Most honest and reliable. I got backed into 3 hours after I bought my car. John and Sabrina got me fixed up!
