Very affordable prices with a great selection of plants. Lots of variety to choose from, and I’ll definitely be back again.
Not as crazy busy with trucks and cars all over the place as Home Depot. And prices are not as economical as I expected. The garden outside and all its plants are actually organized and clean looking. The holiday decor definitely brings out life in any retail store. I did enjoy shopping here. Price is much higher than expected though. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Conveniently located right off Hwy 5, and they have a great selection of healthy succulents, that do well in this climate. Leslie helped me order some succulents that are hard to find. Great service!
Best nursery in San Diego. I hate to disparage another business, but Armstrong is like 30% cheaper than Terra Bella. They often have deals, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a great selection of plants. I have bought indoor plants, outdoor flowers, all sorts of gardening accountrements, and just this last time- a beautiful 50%-off Japanese maple tree. Love Armstrong.
It's the day before Easter and my "Jump For Joy" roses are in full bloom! I first purchased these at Armstrong about 2 years ago. Since then I've added several more and their color does not disappoint. They add a nice pop of color to the gray planter bed and next to the "Forest Pansy" tree which I also bought at Armstrong Nursery. The Pansy's little pink flowers are just starting to show and will become beautiful purple heart shaped leaves. The employees at both Morena & El Cajon Armstrong are very knowledgeable about their plants and have been very helpful in ordering plants if they are out of stock. I love shopping and strolling through the nursery and their "mini" garden rooms for inspiration for my own garden. Even their red amaryllis bulb, on the right ledge, is still blooming after 5 years! Smokey, my cocker spaniel, loves to run and play in the garden now that it's finished. He's showing off his Easter Ducky for the photo!
