If you are local to Pittsburgh and you/your kids have never been to Art Imagined, you are missing out! We first discovered Miss Heather & Art Imagined through a friend and my daughter did a couple summer camps there. Heather partners with our elementary school and both of my daughters have participated in an after school art club. I've never met a kid who didn't like Miss Heather and have a great time at Art Imagined. Heather is very chill, silly, unique, and fun. Her ability to encourage creativity in kids and guide them in discovering the world of art is very special. Recently I asked Heather if we could do a family art night. She was very easy to work with/schedule with and offered idea suggestions at affordable price points. We did acrylic paint pours on canvas. My daughter does weekly one-on-one classes at Art Imagined. Heather is a great teacher, and my daughter absolutely loves working with her. We especially love the warm-ups that she gives at the beginning of the class because they are creative, dynamic, and engaging. Not only is she knowledgeable, but she is also very patient and gives her students a lot of independence in choosing what they want to work on. She is supportive and respects each student's unique style and viewpoints. Not only that, but I also get a chance to do ART with my daughter each time I am there for my daughter's class!
This is the best art studio! My daughter does one on one lessons here, and she loves it so much that she also had her birthday party here. The lessons give her the space and opportunity to create whatever she can think of in many different art mediums. Heather is supportive and encouraging and so great with her! I also just love looking around the studio when I pick my daughter up and seeing what everyone has created. I highly recommend this place and wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
My 11 year old daughter has been doing art classes with Heather for about 4 years and we love it. Heather loves art and working with kids, so she is the perfect art teacher:) Heather does any and every type of art with my daughter. Heather is kind, fun, very flexible with scheduling and of course, an excellent artist! We love that Art Imagined offers classes, camps, parties and private lessons - something for everyone. We highly recommend Art Imagined to anyone interested in art!
Both my kids do art class weekly with Heather for a couple years! She is one of the most amazing people we have met! She has encouraged each child to be their own person with their art and has helped them become more comfortable with their talents. Both look forward to art class and are always so excited to see what kind of art they will focus on for that day. They have done it all from sketching to jewelry! Heather is patient with both and adjusts easily to the 5 year age gap between seamlessly. Classes are a very reasonable price
