I went into Article today with a few Hermès items I had recently come across, hoping to learn more about how consignment works. When I first arrived, I was warmly greeted by a kind lady who directed me to where the buying/selling takes place. The gentleman I met with was initially very friendly and knowledgeable, which I appreciated since I openly explained that I’m not very familiar with luxury items or consignment in general. He walked me through the process, including the fees and percentages that would be taken. After hearing the details, I decided I wasn’t quite ready to commit and preferred to hold onto my items for now to see if I could sell them myself. The moment I said that, his demeanor completely changed. He became visibly agitated, shut down, and no longer offered the same courtesy he had just a few minutes earlier. I was only in the store for about 7 minutes, and I even had my infant in a stroller with me. When I left, he didn’t so much as hold the door open, which left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. As someone new to this process, I wish he had been more understanding. I was still open to returning in the future if I couldn’t sell my items on my own, but his reaction left such a negative impression that I don’t feel inclined to go back. As a business owner myself, I know deals don’t always happen on the spot — but kindness and professionalism should always remain the same. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
Omg I love this store 😍 it's like a kid in a candy store they have everything u can think of. I've bought online and in store everyone is so nice. I have some nice jewelry inside the store and on the website go shop please 🙏 and ty... love the team everyone is nice
