After another tailor completely butchered a favorite garment of mine and tried to hide the flaws, I brought it here hoping for a miracle. Lisa, the owner, was a total lifesaver—she immediately spotted the hidden issues, explained them clearly, and expertly fixed everything to perfection. Her honesty, attention to detail, and skill are unmatched; she truly goes above and beyond to ensure you’re thrilled with the results. I would trust her with any custom suit or any fashion-designed item, knowing she could expertly handle any mishap with them. The whole team is friendly and efficient, and the turnaround was quick without sacrificing quality. I seriously can’t thank Lisa and the team at Austin Alterations enough. I wanted to get some wedding dress lace/pattern sewn on the lapel of my tuxedo, and I had this idea just a month out from my wedding. I actually went to another tailor first, and was all but laughed out of the room. Right after leaving, I came across Austin Alterations and decided to see if they could make my idea happen. Lisa was extremely helpful, and was super accommodating of my tight deadline. She said they’d even aim to get the work done within a week since they were about to close for a week-long vacation! Sure enough, I got the text at the end of the week that my tux was ready to be picked up. I arrived there, and was told they were almost done. Lisa explained that because of my tuxedo’s structure, they couldn’t put it in their typical sewing machine. Instead they had to hand-sew everything, and I got to watch them put the finishing details on! Considering the price I paid and time I was quoted, I was shocked that no one ever called to ask for more money or time. The wedding industry can be pretty harsh and expensive, so I felt very lucky to come across somewhere that honored their original price and timeline despite the unexpected difficulty. Because of them, I now have a one-of-a-kind tux that’s impressed everyone I’ve shown it to! My tux was already fitted correctly, so I can’t speak to Austin Alterations’ re-sizing or other services, but I can attest that they’re honest and great to work with. I don’t leave reviews all that often, but felt compelled to given how above-and-beyond they went for me.

Austin Alterations did such an amazing job within a short amount of time. They gave me advice on what would work best for the fabric and stitching of the dress, then altered it to fit me like a glove within a couple weeks on my time crunch. I'm forever grateful to them and highly recommend them if you need alterations for any clothes, not just wedding dresses!
