Out of all the places in San Francisco, they were the easiest to book — I scheduled my appointment online in minutes, and they even gave me a discount just for booking that way. Their prices were super affordable compared to other shops I checked. They originally quoted me a 2–3 hour installation for my broken windshield, but it was done in just one hour. They called me right away to let me know it was ready, which I really appreciated. The whole team was friendly, attentive, and very easy to work with — from check-in to pick-up, the process was smooth and stress-free. Avoid this place at all costs — especially if you own a Tesla. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any auto body or glass shop. I brought in my Tesla Model Y to replace a cracked roof. My insurance recommended Auto Glass Now on Bryant St, and it was easy enough to get an appointment. Unfortunately, everything after that point went downhill. 1. Poor Quality Repair When I picked up the car, I immediately noticed the roof wasn’t installed correctly. It wasn’t sitting flush with the body and there was a visible gap — you could feel it with your fingers. I pointed it out right away. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the staff began blaming me for “not telling them it was a lease return.” They repeatedly said that if they knew it was leased, they would’ve used OEM glass instead of the cheap aftermarket glass they installed. My ownership status has nothing to do with whether the repair is done correctly. I asked for a safe, proper repair 2. Gaslighting & Unprofessional Communication I refused to accept the car. My insurance agreed the installation was incorrect, and approved a second replacement with OEM glass. Then… nothing. I waited almost a month with zero communication. When I finally called, they admitted they had simply forgotten to update me. 3. Missed Deadlines & Lack of Transparency I dropped off the car again for the OEM roof and was told it would be ready in two days. The day of pickup, I called 15+ times throughout the day — no one answered. We had a trip planned and needed the car that weekend. At 4:30 PM, just before closing, they finally called. They told me the new roof had broken during installation the day before, but they never informed me. I could have arranged for a rental much earlier if they had communicated honestly. 4. Pickup I eventually picked up the car the following Tuesday. The roof looked correct this time, the overall experience was extremely poor Warning for Tesla Owners If you’re getting glass replaced here, there is a high chance they will install cheap aftermarket parts without telling you. If your car is leased, this can cause issues during return — Tesla will not accept incorrect parts or poor fitment. I strongly recommend choosing a different shop if you value proper repairs, honesty, and professionalism.
The entire team was outstanding. They were professional, quick and transparent with any and all issues, and they let me know if there were things I needed to follow up on personally. There were several repeat customers who were there who also expressed the same level of satisfaction when I was there so they are definitely an incredible team.
My parents and I have taken our cars here to get our windshields replaced. One of the cars that had the windshield replaced was ten years ago and still looks great. The staff is so nice, courteous, and friendly. They have great customer service and even great pricing. Their prices beat other auto glass places from here to Santa Rosa. Whenever you call, they always answer, responsive, and it is usually the same woman that greets you answering all our questions with a friendly disposition. I recommend this place to all my friends and family. This place is a gem for great service, pricing, and customer service…which is rare now a days.
