Larry and his team at the Automotive Clinic are I N C R E D I B L E. I thank my lucky stars that I found them. I had a series of unfortunate events with my Tesla Model Y and they handled everything for me - including dealing with insurance, negotiating rental coverage, storing my car for longer because I was traveling, sending me proactive status updates. No only are these guys the real deal, they run the shop like a family with some of the guys having worked together for 20+ years. If you’re looking for a mechanic, look no further.
I couldn't be happier with my experience at the Automotive Clinic! I came in with a persistent engine rattling that I have been ignoring for weeks since car repairs are almost always pricey and I'm a bit tight in cash. Larry here ran a thorough inspection of my car, and discovered a loose timing chain component that was causing all the trouble. He explained everything clearly, gave me a fair price estimate which thankfully is still in my budget, and had the repair completed faster than I expected. My car now runs smoother than it has in months. They have such a friendly staff, honest pricing, and excellent workmanship, automotive clinic has definitely earned my trust, and I would gladly reccommend them to anyone having any type of car issue.
My 1998 Lexus LS 400 displayed “tail lamp failure” on Friday night. On Saturday morning, I searched for who could replace it—just a few places were open. I chose automotive Clinic because of their high score. It was a good choice, and they deserve the score. Five stars from me.
I had my car towed here by AAA due to a “check engine” warning on my Subaru. The staff were polite and communicated promptly. The diagnostic fee was $350, which I agreed to at the time after being told it was within a very typical range. After completing the diagnostic, they identified the issue and recommended that I take the car to the Subaru dealer for further service, so I arranged towing to the dealer myself. Sharing the cost and experience for anyone considering bringing their vehicle here.
Larry is one of the most professional, competent, experienced, available and considerate mechanics, I have ever seen. The time he takes explaining your car issues to make you understand is amazing! He took the time, to go for a ride with me in my car, even before it got in their shop and after they fixed the problem (which is very rare in these days). Very impressive. He really knows and likes what he’s doing! You can feel and see that he cares for your safety. I really wholeheartedly trust this man. Of course, it goes without saying, from now on, you guys are my new car shop in San Francisco. Thanks a million Automotive Clinic
