Wouldn't recommend for violin. My daughter took 9 months of lessons here before joining the orchestra at school, and was told by her teacher that almost everything she learned at this music school (bowing, handling the bow, bow was strung up too tight) was incorrect. She only learned to read by fingering positions, not by reading notes. It wasn't a great investment for getting her ready for orchestra.
My brothers go here and they have a really great time!! They’ve been learning so much and this place is helping them improve greatly as musicians. The teachers are super sweet and we always look forward to coming here! :))

We love Avalon School of Music. Our child has been taking lessons there for 6 months and really enjoys it. Her teacher, Ms. Guerdi, is patient & talented with her students. The showcases are very sweet & impressive. Everyone is very kind and they are flexible with advanced schedule changes.
My kids have been at ASOM for the past 5 years. Their teachers are excellent. They know our kids potential and how to take them to the next level. They have plenty of performance opportunities. Whenever we need to reschedule a class Ms. Maria and their staff are so helpful set up make-ups. We are so greatful for all they have taught our kids on drums, piano, voice and guitar. We enjoy watching them grow in music and perform.
