My fiancé and I went here January 2024 for our anniversary. I didn’t know what to expect, because dinner was a surprise. The atmosphere was amazing and very intimate. The food was absolutely impeccable and is to this day (two years later) our favorite sushi spot in the OKC metro. We would highly recommend it, and we do to anyone wanting to try a new and high end sushi spot. Every time, they absolutely love it. Perfect for date nights or a nice dinner out.

Always an amazing time at Awaji Izakaya. Food and drinks are phenomenal, the atmosphere is laid back and transporting. Service is always attentive and not overly so. Easily the best sushi in OKC and grab a bowl of the Brisket Udon while it lasts. Some of the best soup you'll have all year, I promise!

Service was AMAZING!!! Food was AMAZING!!! We only tried the sushi but we will definitely be back to try more food. The manager, Thad, was the best! The energy and vibes were a 10/10!! They go above and beyond here for you!!

Decided to give Awaji a try since it was close to our house. And we were not disappointed at all. It gives off a japanese fusion vibe with the decor inside. The food was amazing, stuck mainly to sushi and sashimi. All of which were beautifullt plated. I will say their chef rolls blew my socks off, some of the best rolls I have had in the metro. I would put Awaji rolls right behind Sushi Neko rolls. Also they have a great happy hour from 4-6pm that makes going out not making your wallet hurt as bad. Staff was very friendly and kind. It was a great dining experience.

Atmosphere was amazing. The food was subpar. Fried rice was mushy and watery. The noodles were so swollen they were as thick as straws. Whoever cooked our meal needs to learn how to make fried rice and NOT over cook it. Likewise with the noodles. Everything lacked flavor. Was so excited to try this place. Also we had made reservations and they didn’t even have us in the system when we got there. I’m hesitant to go back, but loved the atmosphere so much I’d give it another chance. In the end, it was an expensive meal and not worth the $125+. Chicken was dry too.
