Had a super stressful couple of days before the new year because my boy got into some lilies. I was extremely stressed out since this was the first time I've managed to bring him to the vet and it was for an emergency. However, the staff was always really nice, especially Dr.MC who took over his care. He made sure to call me and check in while my cat was staying for the day, as well as keeping me updated on his overall condition and plan. While the first day was the most stressful (and they were so kind to me while I was anxious and crying), they did a lot to quell my nerves and let me know what was going on and what he needed to get done. Overall, even though it was stress-inducing for both my little guy and me, I'm glad the B street team was there to help us through this! Some small cons to keep in mind is because they're one of the few places that take emergency walk-ins is that you'll probably be waiting for a long time. Each day just to bring him in, get his labs, and check-in with the Doctor to look at his results took about 4hrs. They operate via severity of cases so if it's just a re-check (like I was doing the last two days) it'll probably take a while to be seen, so just be prepared. Second, is there are only 3 parking spaces in front, with a fourth reserved for accessible parking. I drive a small car so I was always able to fit in the far off spot to the right, but just something to keep in mind. You'll probably need to park on the street. Lastly, there are no payment plans and fees need to be paid up front and you'll usually over pay a little bit (at least that's what was happening with me). I understand this is in case there is an unexpected concern they have to treat but since I was really low on funds, having to pay more than was strictly necessary was a little stressful. However, each day I had credit that carried over for the next set of treatments, and got a refund on the last day, so overall fees were lower and lower as his treatment went on. I thankfully had a lot of friends pitch in and was able to pay all his fees without any other issues. If you have care credit or available credit on another credit card, this shouldn't be a concern for you but if you're in a tight financial situation like me (I had just paid over $1k in car repairs and other big expenses...) it's just another thing to keep in mind. All of that said, again, everyone was still super nice and helpful throughout this and I hope the next time I stop by it's not for an emergency. Thank you all again from me and Mr. Fry

Don't go here! I took my girl in for an injured leg. Asked to have her nails trimmed while she was there. The wait was an estimated 2 hours. After 5 hours the vet said we can give her anti inflammatory. I asked about an exray. “Oh we could do that.” The tech comes out with an estimate for me to sign, and it included an IV and sedation! Whoa! I said give her to me now! So I paid $100 for NOTHING! They never even bothered to trim her nails. Just do not go.

My dog needed antibiotics and a pain injection. I couldn't afford it. So I told the doctor I was going to bypass the pain med to make sure I could afford the antibiotics. She swore to me that she could get the antibiotics donated. I clarified with her 3 times that I would not be able to afford both yet she insisted that she would get it covered by donation. So she gives him the pain med and at the end she apologized and said she wasn't able to get the antibiotics donated. Straight lied to my face. Luckily I came up with the money. But the topper is she waits until Christmas Eve day and calls to say he needs another antibiotic. I'm like really? All money I had went on presents already. She didn't even try to help out in the second situation. I had my wife return my gift so that my son lives. This place is FOS and money hungry. I will be switching vets. I bought pet insurance now, so their loss.

I can’t comment on the veterinary care as we never ended up being seen by the vet but we had an unpleasant experience waiting to be seen. When we first arrived as a walk in, we were given an estimate of 30 minutes. We were taken back for intake after about 1.5 hours, and another 2 hours later had not been seen yet. I witnessed multiple people asking about wait time and being given incomplete information. I recognize that they are incredibly busy and have to triage based on acuity but just beware of this if planning to take your pet in as a walk-in. I felt uneasy trusting them with my pet’s care and ended up leaving.

This place is the best, my dog was bit on a run but another misbehaved dog, pretty deep right next to his eye. When I heard they had to sedate him to sew it up and he was gonna need a bunch of meds, I was expecting it to be at least $1000 for an emergency visit. It ended up coming in at $50 less than the estimate at only $500. You can tell they actually care about animals and not profits here. Highly highly recommend!
