I boarded 2 of my cats. I had previously used a local veterinary boarding service and they couldn't give my one cat his medication. They were both stressed when we picked them up and were labeled as very bad. I needed a better option. I toured Barkaritaville and they were wonderful. Showed me the facility and assured me the cats would be fine. They had the cats for 5 days and I was nervous. They both had their own condo and by day 3 I had an email from each ca5 with pictures. The moment I saw the pictures, I knew it was more than fine. The emails were spot on for their personalities and really cute to read. Jackie got his meds everyday and watched out his window at the world. Inky was even relaxed and although she feels she doesn't need friends, managed to interact with them when she wanted. Anyone who worries about their pets like I do, should try Barkaritaville. They were amazing and both cats were happy instead of stressed. I have already booked their next stay and am only hoping Jackie and Inky don't tell the rest of my cats that they go to a resort. In all seriousness, I don't have enough time to write all the great things about them. You can go check them out any time and see how wonderful they are! I can't thank them enough for all they've done. Certainly eased all my worries, and the cats too. Thank you so much!!!! 💓 🐈 😻

My two dogs have been going to Barkaritaville for months now for just the day class and they love it! It’s been great for their sociability. My white fluffy pup has been a social butterfly and loved the classes since the first day. My handsome brown pup was shy at first but I have loved hearing from the staff how he has come out of his shell and made friends! I know I can trust this location with my babies and with any future boarding needs. They have been very flexible as well! Highly highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Update: Sadly my previous 5 star rating went down to 2 stars three years later. Sorry to say they really let me down this time, November 2025. Coming back for a visit to the area with the same dog I sent all updated vaccination info in. Things change over time and maybe there is a new owner and policy’s. Even tho the website and all paperwork reference dog daycare they now call it day boarding and do not show the rates anywhere. Once in town they told me it would be $82 for one day! There is a $25 evaluation fee and $57 day board fee. This is for the same dog we had there before, however it was three years ago. Whoever I spoke with on the phone said she would double check for me and call me back - she never did! We found a private sitter for our well behaved, 10 year old, social, friendly, trained and experienced dog. She loved him and said he was one of the best dogs she’s ever had. Barkaritaville let us down big time and we probably will never be back, with any dog. We came to Corpus Christi for a month. Barkaritaville was so helpful from the moment I contacted them. Getting everything set up and in order before our trip over the phone, through the app and online. Then once there day care reservations were a snap. Wonderful, caring, professional and knowledgeable staff. Our dog, Oscar, had the best time and the best care. Thanks for all you do! Highly recommend.
