My son started as a 4 years old for a bit and then moved onto the 5-6 year old program. The program is very organized and we looked forward to the lessons. I found the flexible schedule and availability of themed camp day on OUSD non-school days were nice perks. There’s a sense of accomplishment as my son received his class stickers before being eligible to test for the next belt, which is very rewarding for a 5 year old!
I am a parent of a BAMA student and this is a great dojo to bring your kid to. Not only does this place help your kid build confidence but it also helps your kid control their emotions.
I first started taking classes at Bay Area Martial Arts since I was 3 years old! As I have been here for 13 years, I can definitely say my confidence and strength has improved greatly throughout my time here. While helping out with classes, I have also seen other students learn and grow with us and they have gained new experiences, friends, skills and more!
This is a fantastic place for kids to learn martial arts and grow self confidence, self control and respect for others. My son has only been going for a month so far but he is really enjoying it and I love watching him grow here. The senseis at BAMA teach martial arts in a safe and fun way that is tailored to each child's age. Couldn't recommend it more.
Our 5 year old son (and us parents) absolutely love Bay Area Martial Arts. The staff is incredibly positive with the kids and have created environment where kids learn respect, martial arts and have fun at the same time. Scheduling is easy and we love that we can come multiple times per week and love the various camp offerings. We didn't think it could get better but just completed a b-day party where all 25 kids had an incredible time learning martial arts, swords and light saber fighting techniques. Our son is still talking about how he broke a board....Well done team BAMA!
