Nico was an absolute rockstar — super helpful, clear, patient, and walked us through everything like a pro. He didn’t just sell us stuff, he educated us — and honestly, that’s the kind of next-level service that turns a routine purchase into a win. Hands down the best attention we’ve had at Best Buy in years. What a great experience on a last minute trip to BestBuy. I spoke with Armani about an experience I had during my last visit, he apologized for it and helped me get everything I needed during this trip. Our cashier Gloria was very warm and welcoming, make us feel right at home. She has such a great personality that I will be looking for her next time I stop by.
Absolutely unacceptable experience with Best Buy Geek Squad. I booked a same-day AppleCare screen repair and showed up 15 minutes early. The department was disorganized and understaffed, with no sense of urgency or structure. After waiting, a very young employee (clearly inexperienced) finally called me over and immediately told me I’d need to ship my phone to Apple. That directly contradicted the same-day repair I scheduled. When I corrected him, he casually said it was fine and that they’d “just run diagnostics,” which would take about 10 minutes. That was not true. After waiting, another employee came out — a guy with long dreadlock-style hair who very clearly looked like he would rather be anywhere else than doing his job. I asked him a straightforward question: do you have the replacement screen needed to fix my phone today? He gave a vague non-answer (“I have a lot of parts”) and when I asked again for a clear yes or no, he ignored me completely. More time passed, and after over 30 minutes, I was finally told that their diagnostics system was down and had been down since the night before — meaning they never had the ability to complete my repair in the first place. I was then told to come back another day. When I asked why this wasn’t disclosed when I walked in — or before wasting my time — the response I received was rude and dismissive, not apologetic. This wasn’t a technical issue — it was poor communication, poor attitude, and poor management. If a system is down, customers should be told immediately. If staff don’t know how same-day AppleCare works, they shouldn’t be scheduling it. And if employees can’t be bothered to answer basic questions, they shouldn’t be customer-facing. Complete waste of time. I will not be returning to this Geek Squad location.
I recently visited the Geek Squad at Best Buy Aventura, Florida on my birthday, 11/25/2025, and I must share my truly outstanding experience. After struggling with ongoing challenges with my Dell Laptop (which was still under a year old), I had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Oleg. Oleg is a master of customer service. He immediately put my mind at ease, assuring me that Geek Squad would fulfill the ADH warranty I purchased. He arranged for me to use the original purchase price of the Dell, plus the pro-rated ADH warranty funds, directly toward a new laptop. This generous and logical solution immediately transformed my stress into relief and was an answer to my prayers. Oleg then personally brought in a sales representative to showcase the exciting Black Friday laptops, ensuring I made the perfect selection. The seamless transition continued when CJ stepped in, swiftly and clearly drawing up all the setup instructions. The level of care and focused attention provided by everyone was incredible; I truly felt like a VIP throughout the entire process. What makes this story even better is that no one was aware it was my birthday until the very end! As I was leaving, I thanked Oleg for surprising me with the most amazing birthday gift. Thank you, Geek Squad at Best Buy Aventura, for turning a challenging laptop issue into a memorable, joyful, and entirely positive experience. Your expertise and genuine appreciation for customers are unmatched and that is why I have been a dedicated loyal customer for over 20 years!
