We cannot say enough good things about this dog training camp! Our 2 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix, Bunny, is full of energy — think a super fast escape artist with selective hearing, and a knack for entertaining the whole neighborhood with her incessant barking. We were at our wits’ end trying to find a way to channel her energy productively, and remain sane ourselves. From day one, the owner, Pat treated Bunny like one of her own. She understood her personality right away — not just her hyperactivity, but also her intelligence and eagerness to learn (underneath all the chaos!). The structured routine, positive reinforcement techniques, and one-on-one attention made all the difference. After just a few weeks, we noticed huge improvements: Bunny responds to commands consistently, walks calmly on a leash, and even has an “off switch” now (we didn’t think that was possible!). The owner Pat also spent time training us — showing us how to reinforce everything at home and keep Bunny engaged and balanced. Most importantly, Bunny came back happy, confident, and still her silly, lovable self — just with much better manners! If you have a hyper, hard headed dog who needs guidance, Best Paw Forward K9 Training is an investment that pays dividends. Pat, thank you for giving us the tools to enjoy our time with Bunny even more. We’re beyond grateful!

Pat has helped us change our dog into a dog that can go anywhere! June is a very high energy puppy who made it difficult to train. After 4 weeks with Pat, she can now slow down and pay attention. It’s amazing having a dog who can now listen to commands and fit into our lives. We took her to brunch today and she just sat on the patio and “chilled”, we could not have done that before. We also love taking our girl on walks now. I appreciated how much Pat kept in touch with us while June was with her and even before her training to get us started. If you want a pup you can take with you everywhere we highly recommend Pat!

Pat completely changed ours and our sweet pups life! We sent Samson for a 3 week board and train. From the very first moment we contacted her she was very informative, positive with reassuring us and giving us tips to prepare for his stay. Sent us updates daily with photos and always found a way for us to stay positive throughout the process. Samson is a wild boy who has a hard time calming his mind and a stubborn listener. Walks with him was more so him walking us and he started to resource guard his space so we knew we needed Pats help and guidance. Samson came home a much more confident dog and we are far more confident owners for him now with all the right tools. Walks are such a joy, he is able to stay calm in chaos, and doing amazing at all things training! He has made tremendous progress each day. Pat has been amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. I rescued a 8 month old puppy, Strawberry, and was overwhelmed about where to start. Prior to her boarding, Pat gave me many tips to begin working with her at home. Throughout her board and train, Pat gave me updates and was always positive about her training throughout the whole experience. Strawberry is home now and the difference is amazing. She is a high energy, anxious dog who was not able to relax unless she was in her crate. She is now able to find her calm both in the house and in public, and though she still has a long way to go, I now have the knowledge necessary to uphold and further her training. I also know I have a support system for life with Pat, cannot recommend her enough!

Pat is truly the best dog trainer around! We knew we wanted to hire a trainer before we picked up our puppy and saw amazing reviews for Best Paw Forward K9. Her training program was a perfect fit for our puppy, Grayland. Before Grayland’s 3 week board and train program, Pat stayed in contact with us and helped answer all of our questions. When it was time for Grayland to start training, we asked Pat to help her with basic obedience skills, leash training and dog socialization. Pat exceeded all of our expectations and Grayland came back a well-trained puppy! We looked forward to the regular updates from Pat and could tell how much Grayland was progressing in training. Pat has amazing dogs that she has trained and they became best friends with Grayland. We have a lifelong friend and training resource in Pat and I have enjoyed staying in contact with her since Grayland has been home. Pat offers boarding to dogs who previously trained with her, which is an added bonus! I feel at ease knowing that Grayland will get to spend more time with Pat and her pups while we’re away.
