I love taking my daughter, Millie to big blue swim. The water is heated and the room is heated and they have plenty of stalls for changing. The instructors are all great, her main instructor is Johnathan and hes made us feel comfortable and confident about classes. I love seeing the progress shes made in just a few months!
The staff is always so excited to see the kids when they walk in. Communication about missed lessons and billing are communicated well. The whole team is just phenomenal. Coach Frankie, Ivan, Ally and Nyoka have been our swim coaches and they always are so patient

The progress we’ve seen has been unbelievable. In just a few lessons, my child went from being hesitant around the water to genuinely excited to jump in. The instructors break things down in a way kids understand, celebrate every win, and never rush the process. You can tell they truly care. The facility is clean, organized, and run with a level of professionalism you don’t always find. Scheduling is easy, communication is clear, and classes start on time. Parents are kept in the loop, and you always get thoughtful feedback after each session. If you’re looking for top-tier swim instruction in Point Loma—whether for confidence, safety, or skill-building—Big Blue Swimming is hands-down the place to go. I can’t recommend them enough.
The swimming instructors are wonderful. Everything you could possibly think of has been considered, from the excellent cleanliness and flexible scheduling (allowing you to change your time whenever you want) to the thoughtful amenities like changing rooms, hair dryers, and plastic bags for your wet swimsuits. My son is Dennis , used to be terrified of the water, but now he is swimming! The entire team is superb. Special thanks to the manager and all the employees
My family absolutely loves Big Blue Swim School. Everyone from the front desk workers to the instructors are super friendly and very professional. All the families are polite and watching everyone be here for the children is what makes this place so special. I have recommended some of my close family and friends to Big Blue and hopefully they join. Thank you all for helping my baby be more comfortable in water.
